Actually there is one AMA rider that you could say is lame... Jason Anderson, after winning with the busted foot- !! Pretty impressive stuff for a feeder series guy who can hardly walk! Whistling

Anderson is an elite rider. He was out injured. The top 10 in this years AMA was super weak outside of the first 4 riders. 5-10 place would struggle to crack top 15 at MXGP. Wilson and Nicoleti both tried and each one got 15th place.

It was a very depleted field in this years 450 class. One of those most depleted I can recall.

Both series have great top riders. Some chose to stay in their respective regions. It's not easy to come to America and win. It's not easy to go to Europe to win.

Let's just enjoy the racing.

There's an old saying that's totally true...when you race on tracks that have little technical challenge to them...everybody goes fast...heck even I can go fast on flat ground and up long drown out Hills.....European's have this delusion that they're guys are as good or better than Americans cuz they compete and sometimes beat American racers on what is basically what most American racers would consider amature style tracks or a good practice track.
Guarantee you take Europe's top ten racers to the AMA national tracks and any of em will be lucky to crack the top five...and God help em if they tried to race our Supercross series...They'd be embarrassed by alot of our so called "amatures"..and ever one knows it!

The only reason some GP guys go to US to race is its easy money. Less depth for decent dollars. The US has a huge bike sales market, that's why there is good money in a mostly privateer national series. Such a shame, the best of each country should be all be racing each other in a series which travels the world. Its not rocket science is it. Didn't realise the AMA fans are as lame as there riders. Big fish small pond.
