Careful Rup, it may vanish if GuyB gets another call from HRC to remove the leaked photo.

Maybe Stewarts are on 2016 450's, then there is no parts issue. Hell they could probably get a cheap deal since HRC will want to off load quite a bit of stuff real shortly.

I miss typed, I meant since the 2016 CRF450 is the old platform that matches the 2017 CRF250 that GEICO uses.

Sounds good, that way he can blame the transmission every time he pulls off.

That comes directly from Ziggy

Gotcha...but the comment was (if you can believe Ziggy actually said that) that Geico doesn't want to run a 450 effort, not that they don't want to run one with anything less than a sure contender or run one for a so-called has-been like James Stewart.. Tomac wasn't even a proven 450 contender when he rode the 450 Honda for Geico. Malcolm Stewart has put in some pretty impressive finishes aboard the Geico 450 Honda...and won the 250 title last year for them. In a sport like ours where the big deal is "how did you do last year", nobody did much better than Mookie. You'd think that Geico would appreciate the publicity in the premier class that the Stewart brothers would bring.

Probably depends on the price tag , eli s 250 career was good before moving up. Winning both outdoors and sx titles.

So appearantly JS7 will be on a Honda in 2017.
Some funds and equipment from Honda has been allocated, although the final team structure or team destination is still to be hashed out.

This is from a friend of a friend, Australian Honda source!

When did Malcom get good results on the geico 450 ? The only time he raced a 450 was for Troy lee and his one off race with his seven 450. And that was his old Troy Lee 450 that he bought from them

Mookie has never raced a Geico 450 Honda. He did a few years back on a Troy Lee Honda.

Let's look at this a little more realistically Wink

"... how did you do last year":

Malcolm won 2 250 Supercross races leading to a regional 250SX East championship and then did...
nothing! Either by choice(desire) or lack of a job offer. This isn't a critique, it's the bare facts.

Now, you stating that "nobody did much better than Mookie" well, that's quite a stretch. You could easily
list a number of riders that did better than Malcolm.

Again, Malcolm is an adult and can do whatever he chooses, no problem there.

But your comment sure seems to show a lack of perspective, or respect, for the professional racers
will a full schedule. Racing Supercross, Motocross, USGP's, MXdN and MEC for a full year rather
than 8 regional Supercrosses and then having the rest of the year off.

I was happy he won. He needed the series experience where he kept it together and didn't crash out of
the points. I'm hoping that pays off in the future for him Smile

What if James is not offered any contracts with anyone while they run their own 450 team?

What if James invested his own money into the team? Each race he gets a portion of it and by end of reason gets it all back. Geico could offer a really high bonus in his contract based on his performance. This puts responsibility and ownership on James. I think it could be a good investment for both parties.

Honda offered contract and brought this 125 to his home for testing, but he decided to go with Kawasaki. I`m not sure which year. Could be 2001-2002

I stand corrected. It was the TLD Honda, and not a Geico one. Oops!

Damnit! Second mistake of the year...

Surprised noone has talked about these two posts:

That RM250 has existed for quite a while, and has been posted about multiple times. Secondly, the picture of Malcol and James is in Seven gear that's over a year old. But, Malcolm has been riding in Seven gear in some videos from their house. If Malcolm were to ride for Geico on their 450 program, this wouldn't be a problem as they always let their 450 guys get their own gear deals. The Alias deal is only tied to the 250 program.
