Not sure what your deal is but you are clearly the most uninformed, subjective, idiot to ever grace the pages of ANY moto forum!
Have you ever considered changing your screen name to EMU? Excuse Making Unit. You are an excuse magician, albeit not a good one. I give you credit though, you keep coming back for more.
I too cannot wait for GHIN, when our former national champ, on a bike he's been riding for one week smokes your man-crushes! Have a good weekend, StefanEMU!

Harrison finishing 7th overall on a neutral track vs mostly gp guys is telling how these guys stack up. Imagine if we had a full compliment of AMA guys there. Guys such as the Martin bros, Savatgy, Hampshire, Nelson, etc. Guys who are typically fighting for podiums in the GP's would have finished 15th or worse. The MX1 class is a bit of a different story. Plenty of fast guys who can compete with all AMA guys except Tomac, Roczen and Dungey.
Harrison finished 6th in a moto at Ironman.

Thank you. Hope you enjoyed the races.

Yeah, against only ama guys. How do you think he would have done if the other top 250 guys were there like all the top 250 gp guys were there today? He would have been pushed even further back. Just like the rest of the 250 guys except Herlings.

There was a lot of "who's who" buzzing around the pits.. I saw Mookie, Ralph Shaheen, Aldon Baker, many other industry people

baker was there as paulin's trainer. I don't buy it that mookie was there to only watch the races.

Man besides Herlings, the other MX2 guys were really down on speed.

Tomac is a straight up animal. Love seeing him win again.

Good racing tonight! Nice to finally see Herlings race. No doubt he is a great rider, but it's clear he has no competition in MX2. If he raced the US nationals he might win, or he might be third. But he'd at least have competition. In the 450s, I don't see the top two positions changing in the Nationals if TG and others were to race. But the racing would be better.

Well, a lot of GP regulars were missing too. Jonass, Ferrandis, Tonkov, Petrov, Brylyakov, Mewse,.. Not that they would win (or maybe Ferrandis), but the racing in top ten would've been more crowded. I wish they ran USGP's early in the season, gives a better value on the results.

such a shame that, with all the beautiful mx tracks in America they have to race on that POS poor excuse for a track! imagine if the race had been held at Unadilla/Washougal/red bud/ southwick? with all the top tier americans racing the best gp riders.

Looking forward to glen helen next week, but very disappointed with the race this week- if that's the future of mx then god help us!

Yeah I think this is why many people are understandably leery about these stadium/man-made deals. Some of them can come out OK, such as Assen last week. But when they stink.... damn they really do stink. And ultimately even when they don't you still can't ever quite match the feeling of a traditional circuit. Thank heavens for Glen Helen next week.

Jeeez pull yourselves together people.

In moto 1 Herlings found a pace that Webb couldn't match that race when he got up to the lead. And in moto 2 Cooper found some badass speed with about 10 + 2 to go that Herlings couldn't match that moto.

One thing is for sure and that is that these two would probably give us a hell of a championship if they raced the same series this year and none of them would be crowned champion with 3 motos to go of the season..

Yep and the Rookie this year just beat JH84 the European proclaimed fastest man on the planet straight up in the rougher final Moto on a track type that Eurpoeans have been racing on for a few years now. Now that's impressive.

Last week at Indiana he put 29 seconds on the rest of the field.

He's a talented kid!

I agree. Would have been better than supercross style track ...I was lucky as a kid to see all the great Euro Grand Prix riders in the old trans am series ..It was like Christmas came early every year. I think the tracks u mentioned would have given a gp atmosphere...made better racing...

I have to say, the track totally exceeded my expectations. For some reason, photo/video don't seem to capture the magnitude of how much dirt was brought in, etc. Yes, there weren't many places to make up time or get creative (except ET3 tripling into the dragons back - whew!!) but the race definitely DID NOT have a fair grounds race feel to it, IMO, as I feared. The pits were still super friendly and easy to get around. It felt like the 90s; the stars were everywhere and it wasn't hard to talk to someone; unlike the pits and long lines of today

To be fair, I wished I could have learned MX on such a nice luxuary parking lot on my PWs and QR ; the tracks at the moto club I rode between 3 to 8 didnt have as many beautiful banners and nicely rounded designed jumps. Our mothers could see the whole track, defintely the grand stand is a plus. We had a bit more elevation though, with 1 sandy downhill (that caught many of my PW competitors). Also, the sisters from the competitors didnt look as good as the monster girls & co. So for me it was a hell of a good event. The track almost developed as rough a Daytona, I even saw the pegs hitting some ruts.

Fortunately the top AMA & GP riders are delivering a great show and are brave enough to go back to their roots. But they do not deserve this. I wish a rider like Hannah would come and say "I am sorry I didnt find the track but there were a few guys riding and they had nice girls so I went to school them".

Forkner's performance was great but even Villopoto lost a moto to a 16 year old who rode on a 350 for the first time in 2011. Age doesn't matter it's the skill.

Ok now watching moto 2, I will also say the racing looks way better at night. Definitely not a race to do during the day.

Just watched the moto 2 in 250:
I expected to see Herlings dominating, quite disappointing with so much FMOTP hype.
I am impressed by Webb and Forkner, I am really surprised and it definitely raised their stock. Example, I said top 5-8 next year for Coop, now I think he should be with Anderson & Seely, top 3-top5. I hope his 450 will be a rocket.

looking at how well calvin vlanderen and glen coldenhoff are riding at the minute, Holland could well be dark horses for the des nations this year (obviously with Jeffrey being the main man)

glen helen is a strange one really, I guess the americans should dominate there with it being open for practice all year round, and most of them spending a lot of hours there. Much like lommel to the gp riders. I don't think we will see herlings or cairoli get lapped though, like some of your hero's did at lommel in 2012

glen helen will be more interesting than the mickey mouse track this week, but I would LOVE to see a gp at one of the tracks I mentioned previously (Unadilla, red bud, southwick) - to me those are real motocross tracks, it would be a better spectacle for the fans to run a meeting there if there was a large number of top tier americans again as there was this weekend.

Probably never happen, but it would be cool if it did!

Gotta give it to Tomac. Good ride.

Gongrats to Gajser for the championship as well.
I was at Latvia GP this year and when we flew back to Helsinki, Gajser was on the same plane. Here's a photo of me and him from the airport bus that my friend was able to take. (Gajser did not notice, haha) I'm looking a bit hangoverish, because we drank for 4 days on a row. Grinning
