I don't which way the sun comes up anymore!
But this seems very strange they had the rig broken into and over S250,000.00 worth of gear, parts, etc stolen back on January 11, 2016 and they offered a $2500 reward for over $250,000.00 loss. I had my shop broken into and they got over $15,000.00 worth of parts, gear and tools and State Farm screw me over saying since the parts weren't attached to the vehicles when they were stolen they were not going to pay for the parts I ended up with a $10,000.00 and I offered a $1000.00 reward!! I guess BTO didn't want the stuff back that bad!!
Based on the amount of loss in the first incident and the amount offered for a reward plus this now catching fire which seems strange there was no one there looking after it either time if I was their insurance company I would be looking closely at these two incidents and how well the company is doing financially before I paid out a dime. I am not saying that this is not a odd happening that they have had two MAJOR loses in a 8 month period seems strange.

Dredging up a weeks-old thread to rant about something that doesn't make sense pushes my buttons.
You need to first understand both the race industry and the sales industry before creating a bunch of slander about a company over the internet. I have returned many items to BTO Sports over the years and have never had a problem. I love the quality service I get from BTO Sports and have been a customer for over 10 years. Recently they changed their policy for the better. They now allow for free exchange labels on gear. More than likely, you failed to familiarize yourself with the return policy. I have never had better customer service than with BTO Sports. You can call in at any time and they will work with you as much as possible to ensure you are a satisfied customer. I never receive that customer contact and care with RM or MOTOSPORT.
Secondly, you have no idea how the race industry works. BTO Sports is a title sponsor of the KTM / BTO Sports team. The race team is owned by a completely separate entity. The race team is Butler Brother race team. They collect sponsors like BTO Sports, Fly Racing, KTM, ect. to ensure they have the funds to compete.
Also, BTO Sports did in fact get the items back. What happened to the team was a terrible incident. I would not wish this upon any race team. It is slander to speak of the fact that they may have committed some type of fraud. Until you read the official police reports as well as the investigation reports, I would suggest you not speak about this situation. Serving customers with care and respect is a lost art these days and BTO Sports does it best. They care about you as the customer and not just a wallet. It seems to me that you may have had a bad experience simply because you do not understand patience or knowledge before spreading unkind and disrespectful words about both a hard working company and a hard working race team.
"Before you go speaking unkind, walk a mile in someone else's shoes. You may learn a new found respect for hard work."
BTO Sports is the best motocross sales force in the industry and I wish them the best. I would never recommend anyone else than BTO Sports. I challenge you to call a member of their sales team and not be satisfied with your experience.
Now I like to address some of your comments:
I always love a forum where the administrator has to resort to calling people names because he doesn't agree with what they say. NOT!!!
Having started racing before most of you were even born I know a lot more about his business than a lot of you so called experts!!! I started racing back in 1974 and turned pro in 1976 (still have my first pro AMA license). IN 1977 while racing in the old Texas Series on a Husqvarna CR360 I got T boned and took a petcock in the knee and it ended my racing bikes. During this time I was sponsored by a couple of shops and even had support from Yamaha on a YZ125C. I have worked for both a Suzuki and a Yamaha Dealership even was trained by Yamaha as a mechanic and have spent several years in retail sales.
Now as for sponsorship .In 2007 I decided to start racing ATV in the GNCC series since my knee cannot take the stress of a dirt bike except to slow trail ride. In 2010 I started my own team and since then I have had several riders racing my quads and if it wasn't for help from sponsors I couldn't afford to own a team or even race myself. Try paying for gas for several racing quads at $10.00 a gallon plus the cost of driving a motorhome pulling an enclosed hauler that get about 7 miles to the gallon. If it wasn't for my sponsors I would be able to race let alone support a team!!
Since 2004 I have done business with Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and Motosports. When I started my own team I started using a lot more online companies like Bike Bandit, BTO and a lot of others to keep cost down. I spend several thousands of dollars each year on gear, parts, and tools. And during this time I have made a lot of phone calls and sent a lot of emails to all of them and those that I still do business don't tell the customer we have your item and it will ship today only to find out the next day it is out of stock and it will be in tomorrow and ship that day and when tomorrow comes they don't know where the boots are!!
As for calling them, when I made this post I had just got off the phone for the third time this week with BTO Sports about some boots I was exchanging and had been told something different each time.
Now I would like to say I am sorry for calling them a JOKE. I guess someone told BTO Sports what I said and with in a couple of hours of posting that I got a call from Joe at BTO Sports we had a nice talk and he is a super guy and took care of everything. He even said there was no reason for what was going on and they should of handled it better. I wish I had know who he was and I could have contacted him and maybe I would have the boots we need for a race tomorrow! I would like to thank Joe for all his help he is a true professional. If anyone has a problem with BTO Sports I would suggest you call him first then make a post that you may have to eat your word over.
Wow that was a quick two years and if you would spend less time posting and get out and look around you would find lots of places to ride like the National forests, There is an ORV Park near Hot Springs. Nice place near Amity AR that has a motocross track, a Arenacross track and something like nine miles of trails own by a former motocross racer and now Arenacross team owner.
