Good question. Im stumped by the 400 to 450 difference because if it was Yamaha, then wouldn't the 426 come into play somewhere?

Steve Stackable on a Maico 400 for SX and then 450 for Daytona...back in the day Maico had both as production bikes...the 450 was known to break some ankles when it would kick back
