Haha this is actually kind of funny xD.

So CP377 isn't the crafty Frenchmen that somehow lucks into first in qualifiers. He is the insane AMA/Frenchmen that is crazy fast in one lap!

I guess that Osborne is GP/AMA now also. Some kind of hybrid.

And yes this is dumbgeon compatible.

Wrong. First off Roczen has raced 80% of his entire pro career here in the states. He's more of an AMA guy than he ever was a GP guy when you include all the national and SX series he has done.

We only have one kid from the USA racing the GP's....which by the way came strait out of the armature ranks and has podiumed. There are no American's racing the MXGP class.

Try again you fucking clueless retard.

Ken Roczen is suddenly 80% american/ama?

Thomas Covington is somehow an European? Which country? Belgium i assume?
Roczen IS more of an AMA rider then he ever was a GP rider......he's raced damn near his whole career here.

Thomas , even though American kid , he is a GP rider. He's raced his entire pro career there.....and should never even be considered an AMA rider. Never was as a pro.

On top off that....Kenny won over in the GP's.....he then came here ( and has said it numerous times ) that he had to get in better shape and ride more aggressive from start to finish before he could start winning here.

What's that tell you?

BUT.....do I think Gasjer , Febvre , AC222 and other GP guys are un-godly fast?.....Hell yes I do! And I have a ton of respect for those guys. Over there....they are king. Over here...the " seasoned " AMA guys like Roczen , Dungey , Tomac and so forth are king. NO GP guy is going to come here and start waxing anyone.

And....RV won his second race over there. When was the last time a GP guy just showed up and won?

European or otherwise, we are all God's children. In God's eyes there is no distinction, The Source. So do you think you are better than God?

I only see two major championships that are not American. Considering we're a country of immigrants, when does one stop being a "European" rider and become an American rider?

NOT an American by any means....but he IS an AMA rider. Not a GP rider. You could say the same for Musquin now to , now that he's been here longer than he ever was in the GP's.

yeah looks like Musquin and Pourcel are even more american as Roczen as the spent more time racing in the USA .
Maybe because Roczen wins a lot is more important .. :-)

Deductive reasoning would lead you to realize he views God as the supreme and everything else under that.
He sees ALL men as being equal.

What are you trying to start with that question other than an argument.

You ask mischievous questions and you get mischievous answers.

So what Roczen did from age 3-17 is not accountable?

What i'm trying to say is that Roczen isn't an "ama guy" nor an "gp guy". Roczen is probably the most versatile MX/SX rider that we have seen for decades.

And he is 100% German.
Yea- its totally accountable his achievements from 3-17 and I would also agree with you that he may well be the most 'versatile' MX/SX rider for decades. Also agreed he is 100% German!

Think the way Jeffro and myself have described Ken as an 'AMA guy', which you could say he is, in theory having spent 80% odd of his career there. Think you have interpreted in a certain way that seems to say we are 'making him an American'.
Think everyone is saying pretty much the same here, just in different ways...

Yea- sort of a dumb to post this thread anyway making this comparison.... anyway gave me something to do for the last half hour!

You don't think that Gajser could go to Southwick now and compete for the win?

Roczen might be associated with USA in 2016 but that doesn't make him a "AMA" person/rider.

Edit: RV is probably the best rider that US have had since RC. RC in US, Everts in Europe. RV in US, AC in Europe.

Tim very well could win here indeed! I think Febvre possibly could too , but it would be a tall order.

Btw...you aren't going to find a bigger fan of TG243 any where than I am. I love that kid!

Absolutely!

Since we are in full bench racing mode at the moment i would guess that Gajser would be the only one to compete against Roczen for wins right now since Tomac is clearly struggling(with the bike).

That's only because the best USA guy competing "over there" this year is Ben Townley, wise guy. Whistling

In the same vein, have you checked Nico Izzy's Twitter today? Cool Shocked

If you went to school for grades 1 & 2 in New York.....then went to school for grades 3 - 12 in Portland.......would you still consider yourself a new yorker?

Kenny has competed as a professional here in the states 4 X longer than he ever did in the GP's. Does this not make sense? Because he " started " in GP's......he's a GP guy for life? Does not make sense.

Not bad for an American (or any flipping Nationality come to that) to win only his second race in GP's- who knows he may have 'waxed them' had he not got injured!

We will never know how much RV could have/ would have challenged- he did not get beaten; rather than he never actually hardly started/ completed the series.
He sort of was a challenger for sure, having won only his second race in GP's.

I agree with that 100%. Tim is awesome in every aspect. I think he'll actually thrive on some of the tracks here. I for one can't wait to see him race here.

I agree with Jeffro here, just because a guy starts in GP it doesn't mean he should always be referred to as a GP rider...the whole MXGP vs US rider thing gets boring real quick, who cares who is faster can we just not celebrate their talent ?

I agree with Jeffro here, just because a guy starts in GP it doesn't mean he should always be referred to as a GP rider...the whole MXGP vs US rider thing gets boring real quick, who cares who is faster can we just not celebrate their talent ?
It's guys like the source, MXgeoff and few others....that's all they are usually good for. Causing a rift between the two series. I myself love both series. Guys like the source and Geoff.....hate the AMA series and anything American. And they will take any chance the get to tell you so.

Yup- absolutely- both series are great.... what even is the purpose of comparing them, setting them off against each other?! Its dumb to do this when you could be enjoying them for what they are rather than making it some sort of mad competition!

Japanese bikes dominating 3 of the 4 major classes. Clearly better than the European bikes.

If memory serves me right Jeffro, but it is fading, Ben Townley turn up from Europe to start his AMA days in 2007? He won the overall at Hangtown going 2 - 1 against RV2. They traded overalls and race wins all season with RV2 edging out BT as the MX Lites champion that year. They then went on to battle each other in SX as you know. That was some great racing!

Pretty sure the source has accomplished what he set out to do here.
