Here's me flyin my 82 somewhere in N Miami around summer of 1983

and here is my 83 in the garage right now, i'm the original owner, it has had the tires replaced, they dry rotted, and the clutch fibers and plates, has around 20 hours total

MaicoCD, I raced Etown and D6 tracks mostly. But my father took me to Aqasco at the end of the season once. I remember having a really fun time and liking the track. I always wanted to go back but somehow never did. I remember the towers because he had taken a picture of me on a downhill jump and they were in the backdrop. I don't know why I don't go south to ride more. Ever time I had raced a harescramble or MX in Maryland, the tracks were fun and the people always seemed pleasant . Unless I was just getting lucky when I went

Bike looks great!!! 87 KX125 was my first big bike after 80s too. I bought mine off the previous year's 125 expert champ in dist 34 in N.Y . Bike was full DMC... Everything. Even had Showa cartridge kits in the forks. It was my favorite bike ever....Your bike brings back great memories..... Thanks dude.

Here is an 83 I bought a couple months ago.it was originally built by Dave miller before he worked with team green. It was built for Tracy Meeks and raced out here. It has a Dmc pipe, dmc cylinder, oval bore mikuni, white power shock. The pipe has rust but no dents, the brake stay and radiators are straight as an arrow. Dave said that Tracy put th A-tam chain guide on later . seems hardly ridden just a little rough from the pics. Got it off craigslist for 400 bucks kicked it over and it hauls ass. Took the top off and it does need a new piston but the bore looks great. Should be racing pretty soon.

AWESOME pic MXM! Thanks for sharing with us! I too had very similar DG gear back in 1983-83. I had the vented Kawasaki pants and jersey but did not have the trick boot gators! My best friend had both the '82 and '83 KX125's back when I was still riding minis, and I still think they are one of the coolest looking bike of that era! I would love to find one for vintage racing!

Love it Deek! Thanks for sharing! I would think that DMC pipe is pretty rare?? What are you planning on doing with it?

Can you check the gearing on your KX ? I need to order sprockets for my 83
It came with 12/50. For some reason a 12t counter seems small to with a 50t on the rear.

Recently started looking for a 1982-1983 KX125 as project and there don't seem to many out there. Anyone have a lead on one?
Found a super mint 83 kx125 in nv beverage wherehouse sat for 27 years in climate control. Unbelievable condition no restoration needed . Hardly used since new ,original front tire is 95 % great. I'm searching for oem side stand for this show piece, I just ordered new original replica sticker kit , mint mint. Could be for sale if I can stop staring at it

I agree.. The only thing that holds those bike back are the rules in Vintage racing. It's all because of the front disk brake. If that bike had a drum up front, I'd be all over it. Might still look into it.. I always likes those.
