I havn't seen him post any updates. I think it's a "wait and see" type thing at this point. Aldon Baker said in an interview that their would be a follow up scan in a few weeks to see how his neck is healing.

Dungey doesn't hit social media like Roczen, Barcia, Wilson and some others...so we'll probably have to wait for "official" updates to trickle in.

I don't know if you heard but Baker said he's out for the season.

Yeah, he fractured his C6 vertebrae. Out 6-8 weeks......but if you already knew that and want a continuous ongoing update, here it is:
next week: Fractured C6 vertebrae. Out 5-7 weeks.
week after that: Fractured C6 vertebrae. Out 4-6 weeks.
...and the week after that: Fractured C6 vertebrae. Out 3-5 weeks....and so on, and so on.....

I’m curious as to which part of C6 he fractured? A spinous process? A Transverse process? A facet? The vertebral body? (not likely)…. or the nueral arch? (even less likely). The spinous process is most likely…..something called a clay shoveler’s fracture.

The PR stated 6-8 weeks. Apparently Aldon Baker has said that means the rest of outdoors. The way things usually go in this sport, I wouldn't hold your breathe for any updates.... Might give the competitors some sort of advantage for SX 2017, lol.

Does anyone think Dung will race the last national or 2 and if he can race the MXDN? Or do you think he sots it out again and comes back or straight rhythm and monster cup?

Anyone else raise an eyebrow at Baker basically saying he's done for the season?!

I figured he'd be back in time for at least the last 2 or 3 and still would be a likely candidate for USA...

Straight Rhythm and Monster Cup can suck a dick.

I doubt Dungey go into MXdN coming off of an injury. It's too risky and he wouldn't be at the top of his game and yet another consecutive loss would be... well really not good....

Having had a similar injury, I find it unlikely you'll see him racing the current series or the MXDN.

I think your first paragraph saved about 6 threads. . . Thanks for the future updates. Haha. . .

Quite a few years back, I fractured a couple of transverse processes in the upper part of my back, while practicing for a race. I had several other broken bones from that crash, and the doctor didn't seem too concerned about the transverse processes. Said that they should heal up with no problems. Never have bothered me since, but they did look weird in the MRI. Still crooked, I am sure.

I am currently healing up a tranvers process fracture of my L5 and a fracture of the Sacrum.. The worst part is the ongoing Sciatic nerve pain in the R leg. The doctors are telling me about 4-5 weeks but I am not 100% sure I will be healed up by then, as they are still not sure if they need to operate for the nerve issues.

Dungey is surely recovering nicely, and enjoying an relaxing summer vacation...for about a week. Then he'll be back on the grind, probably on a stationary bike. It would be interesting to see who does more 2017 prep in the next six weeks...Mookie, or Dungey with a broken neck? Tongue

But seriously, I hope the Dunge makes a full recovery and comeback - I couldn't believe it when I read the news last week Sad

I understand the video itself is funny, but it has nothing to do with Dungey.

I don't like it man, they're starting to take precedence with the riders over the MXdN, which for me is the most important race of the year. It's your country's colours ffs...

They're all spoilt fuckwits those kids...

I just don't wanna hear about testing for SX or this and that but then do Straight Rhythm and Monster Cup... MXdN should be more important.... but it seems to be going away for a lot of these guys, probably because the Euros have been kicking their asses.

Barcia should be given a fucking medal for his effort last year.
