Well, good for Kenny being able to rely on his natural abilities, eschew a performance-enhancing diet, and do just the bare minimum of preparation to get the job done. Dungey and others don't have that option.

Calcium comes from many different sources than dairy. And let me say I don't give a shit what people eat; too each their own. And I do consume dairy products myself (I don't drink milk anymore as I don't really care for it but love me some cheese, ice cream, butter).

But dairy is not necessary for human health. All mammals produce milk specifically to nurture their offspring for a certain amount of time. That's all it's intended for. To think that humans (past the age of 2 at that) need the milk of another mammal to be healthy is absurd. Again, if the market demands it, and people want it? So be it. I couldn't care less. But it is not a necessary component to human health. IMO.

There was a place in the UK that was making ice cream out of human breast milk. It seemed like the majority of people were disturbed by it. I chuckled and thought they were a bunch of hypocrites. So it's not weird to consume the milk of another mammal but it is weird to consume the milk of your own species?

As for Kenny, I hope he keeps on keeping on. That's what I love about the kid. I personally loved the jab. The sport needs more of that.

Pretty sure I've heard that from RV, RD and Kenny at various points.

When you think about it though, it is truly fucking bizarre that it's more accepted culturally to drink the milk of an animal with four stomachs than it is your own species.

So my 2 cents...I tried the whole elite athlete thing when I was in the Army, I was in the best shape of my life and worked out twice a day 6 days a week. I had a resting heart rate of 39. Everytime we had a PT test( which consisted of a 2 mile run, 2 min. Of push ups and 2 min. Of sit ups) I improved on my run at least 5 to 7 seconds each time. I was consistently running a sub 12 min 2 mile. Well the night before a PT test I would eat a huge giant bowl of ice cream, not low fat or any crap like that either, and it never effected me, it almost seemed like it helped! My Soldiers would ask how I did it and the joke was my secret weapon was the ice cream. My point is when you're an elite athlete in that kind of shape a meal that some people would see as not 100% committed to your training, riding off talent or whatever just doesn't matter. The amount that athletes put out in their training allows them to be able to do that. I have no doubt Roczen trains just as hard as anyone else, and what he does during the week shows on the weekend!

Kale bro. Among a whole lot of other foods you wouldn't think of. Plenty of choices for protein replacement also such as mushrooms and nuts. A good vegetarian does not go without any nutrition. It just takes a bit more research and eating of non mainstream foods which have become trendy these days. Just like gluten free. I've been diagnosed and confirmed by biopsy for Coelics for over 10 years and while the trend has expanded the food range, it's also brought about a certain wanker stigma to it as well. And I like to eat a nice steak myself.

Lol sorry, I was being a bit facetious. I'm aware we don't need milk, Im allergic to it. However I still eat ice cream occasionally, and I can't give up cheese.
I do find it weird they aren't allowed dairy though, calcium is needed. And dairy is an easy to find, cheap, and tasty source of it.

Kenny has more skill than Dungey. Simple. Happy healthy Ken on a dialled bike is almost as quick as the equivalent Eli. Dungey is not in this league.

I like eating cows, drinking their milk, patting them.

Unless you have some food allergy.

The inflammation caused by the cream could have affected your performance, maybe if you would have had to run 26 miles instead of 2, your performance would have been affected.

This is one of the areas that Baker tries to solve for a rider. That even tho the rider doesn't realize he has a specific allergy, he tries to find that one little thing that could be affecting his long term performance. My guess is Roczen went back to implementing some of the stuff Baker taught him!

Protein, carbs, dairy and fat. Essential for man strength.
Yet gorillas subsist very well on vegetables.

What we lack in physical strength we make up for in mental strength. It's a trade off. That's where the importance of fats and proteins comes in.

Dungey is not in Kenny's league yet Dungey has won the last three titles (2 in SX and one in MX) in a row. That doesn't make sense. Dunghey is every bit in Kenny's league and we'll see how the rest of the season plays out.

I guess this is part where you make excuses for Kenny's not beating Dungey for the last three titles.

Red meats are bad for a person's health. Fats and protein are important, and can be gotten apart from meat.

The main reason milk is seen as the Holy Grail of nutrition is the efforts of the National Dairy Council.
A lot of what you hear about food is old-fashioned propaganda.
For instance, ever hear that carrots improve eyesight? Total myth, created by the British military. They needed a cover story for the fact their advanced radar systems were helping bring down German bombers. To cover up the technology, they just made up a story about carrots.

Dungey should have said that he was going a little slower, from that SX bonus check in his back pocket...although he isn't a whiner when he doesn't win, like KR. OH wait, he DID win. My bad....

Just a quick reminder - kenny started the last outdoor season injured. He could barely walk at hangtown. The year before where dungey and roczen where on the same bike, roczen won. And tomac would have won the championship last year we all know that... But thats what is dungeys strength, no mistakes at a very high level and holeshot nearly every race.

Back to back sx championships with the most wins he's ever had this year. But he has less skill.
