Simpson with a possible chain issue and not a crash with Febvre. Not confirmed

Paulin sets the fastest lap of the race on the last lap! It'll be great to see him up there tomorrow.

They did get into eachother...! Simpson fell over, Febvre rode into him and Paulin did aswell. Then Cairoli ran by Febvre and hit his arm. If I am correct

Damn looks like AC rode right over RF's arm. That's brutal. I hope he's good to go for the race.

Thanks for sharing the Vid , ayearinmx , great ride by Anderson just getting pipped at the end . I remember watching Gregory fighting for the win at Matterley a couple of years ago in the 300's , one of the best races of the weekend . Gotta love two strokes .

How? His chain supposedly broke. Can't fault him for a mechanical. Even so, he didn't blatantly take Febvre out. Febvre ran into him after nearly laying it over. It was no one's fault. Now, AC running Febvre over after the fact may be able to be disputed a little. Even though I don't believe that was intentional either.

i've just seen Cairoli's gopro.... in my opinion it looked like Cairoli was committed up the inside and at the very last second, Febvre sticks his arm out a little bit further and he hits it

I dont know what to think based on this video, which I watched about 20 times.

I know it is very rare to have a 3 rider crash, so it was difficult to anticipate and avoid the contact between Cairoli on Febvre, but for me, it didnt look like TC really tried to reduce the impact either ... but almost the opposite, which here is a problem. A problem:
1. For the race direction, which will probably do nothing,
2. For the championship fairness if Febvre is injured, and even if he is not, he will still for sure lose points on the leadership but also on Cairoli because of the last gate pick not once but twice tomorrow (at best a 4-4 overall),
3. And for next race directions since I think Febvre is also able to ride dirty and has now 2 tickets for clean sweeps on the track (about 5 points credit from VHB and 5 points on Cairoli). That thing may turn ugly Pinch

Why was he "committed" to the inside?, should have gonne to the outside or "cautiously" to the insite at the very least imho.

When you're coming up the hill from where Cairoli is coming from on the inside, Its very hard to see the section of track where Febvre is lying. I doubt he even saw him until he hit him. I highly doubt he would deliberately run into someone and risk going down himself. Especially when he's buried back in the pack as it is. No doubt Febvre will think it was intentional

I'd take ayearinmxs opinion on this one. But of course, people will think what they choose to think or see.

Cairoli came into a corner, with three other riders, all tangled up and haven fallen /falling into the very inside line he was committed to. That's the chaos of MX racing.

By those standards suggested by Question you'd have to put the young bloke who rode over the other one in the 125 race, in front of a firing squad.

Shit happens, as they say.

I don't know for sure what he was thinking. But I can guarantee that it wasn't that

If people honestly think that Cairoli had any intentions of causing Fevbre or anyone else injury then I guess any words of reason on the matter is lost on them. That seems (to me at least) as likely as Canard summoning satan to the podium after having a threesome with Jason Lawrence and Ryan Villopoto. But then again, stranger things have happened I guess.

Sure didn't look like he checked up at all. I could tell that from here and I'm 8000 miles away.

Being 8000 miles away gives you a great view of the situation I'm sure

Hopefully Febvre is ok. He looked Cairoli like "WTF did you just do?"

It would be very out of character for Cairoli to act unsportsmanlike,I'd give him the benefit of the doubt any day
Any news on Febvre?

I also don't think for a second that Cairoli did that on purpose.

Thought he would. He's lying on the ground at the top of a hill that is pretty much blind. If he thinks Cairoli did that intentionally he wants his head checking

I don't think he tried to hurt him but I think he saw him and could have went around him without gassing his bike, he almost tries to wheelie over him.....
