Even if Brett's' wheel didn't explode, he was certainly going for a ride...
Leave the jump, leave the landing...make the track bigger, steeper, faster, rougher...these are professional riders we're talking about, among the absolute best in the world...give them all they can handle...challenge them in every aspect...from a fan perspective, I love watching Glen Helen.
watching his hands come off the bars brought back memories of last year.... i only needed a plate and 5 screws to fix my hand and my bike was no worse for the wear.... his looked 10 times more violent and the bike........
hope the young man is ok.
I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say with that response. I still think it didn't work out well for that pro in the video.
Pit Row
And what's wrong with the "wow factor" anyway? It IS, after all, a spectator sport...so what's wrong with giving the fans something to look at...even if for those 2 or 5 seconds in the air they aren't making up, or losing, time on their opponents??? I say nothing...and if it so easy that "every rider there can do", if the slowest, least talented rider there can do it, how is it also dangerous? Every rider there is going to be wide open down the start straight, going the exact same speed, and at 60mph+...one mistake there-at those speeds-and they'll be going to the hospital. Should we take out the start straight and the Talladega Turn?
