Does anybody have any feedback on how the kit stood up to some hard riding. Like the seat bracket that was mentioned? Does the air filter get dirty really fast? Up close do things look cobbled or does it look like everything is where it should be for the most part? The kit looks sick, is it functional though?
Ive put about 5 hard muddy rides on it and 1 harescramble race. The seat bracket is very strong and i dont see any wear or bending on it. The air filter does get more dirty than it usually does because of the small gap between the subframe and the side panels. BUT like i said, ive been riding in sand and straight mud and water, so Im sure in normal conditions there wouldnt be much of a difference. The air box covers moved around a little the first time I rode it but after I repositioned them and tightened them down again they havent moved. Everything looks great up close, just like a 2015.

The only wear and tear that I am seeing is the "Honda" letters are starting to peel off the back of the seat. But hey, if thats the worst of it I can deal with that.

Our first ride was last night. Went through and re-tightened everything after practice.
I have some concerns also on durability. There are a few places where it looks cobbled so I will change/rebuild those areas as time goes on.
I would think with the money I spent they would send a bracket to mount the top of the front # plate? I will make one I guess

Surprisingly bike feels thinner/more modern so that's a plus.

Not worried about air filter as CR125's can use all the air they can get.

Need to figure out what seat cover works so we can match it up with graphics.

It gets a ton of looks and questions!

All in all a good kit which will probably get better as they refine it.............

Doesn't sound too bad. Looking at my bike I do see some pretty good marks on my frame from the radiator shrouds that are on there now. What is the best way to go about removing those?

Since no one has really posted any pictures of the kit in action heres some pictures from riding at a local track called Golden Pines this past weekend. Some of the pictures are from my last video on youtube:

Did my own conversion , needless to say it was time consuming , but I can change back to original with no altering of original kit . Pounded 25 laps today , stayed together !

Who else has this kit installed now and can you post up your pics???

Update on my kit:

Fitment seems to be doing well and the kit is holding up pretty dang good so far..I've had to tighten things up twice in over 20 rides and I'm pretty happy with the kit so far. Seats seems to be holding up well and still good to go! Smile

Zach has been hashing ours for a month or so. Seems to be holding up. What works for a replacement seat cover? The stock one sucks................

Not sure but I know that you could hit up Travis at Motoseat and send him the seat to put one on! Let me know if you need his contact: travis@motoseat.com

I priced a kit for me and it said it would be $100 for shipping? That's just ridiculous if you ask me

They would look cleaner but not designed to be inside unfortunately. Here's a pic from the manufacture's website showing this...

I covered my tabs in white duct tape to hide them, they blend in better with the white plastic.

These look great. I still prefer the original with an updated front end, I think, but you guys are making me think twice.

Thanks for rekindling this thread. It cost me over $400, lol!

It's worth it, IMO. We are going on two years on the kit. The only things that Zach has broken are then plastic around the airbox and the LH "tab" for the number plate. I ended up welding a threaded tab on the subframe for that instead of the plastic one provided. Put new plastics on for the Dream Race using 2015 CRF and modded them just like the TX race ones-

I just bought a used Tx race kit from a guy on the Central coast of CA. When he got it, it only had the bracket for the seat and rear end. Is there any other brackets?? I’ve tried emailing the Tx company twice and no response!

Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

I don't think you received all the parts needed. I took a photo of everything before I put it on my bike, I didn't label the parts but here is the photo, hope that helps.

This is the thread that will never die. Lol. I actually did a conversion to my CR250.......call me old school but once it was done, I realized how much I liked the old set up and went back. The 02-07 CR's were just good looking bikes. Its amazing they're stood the test of time as well as they have in terms of styling and handling. Probably my favorite smoker of all time.

I looped mine on 4th gear tapped lol. Oops. Not as tough as stock( duh). The seat bracket, seat, silencer?all toast. Rear plastics toast. Brand New twinwalls bent 90°, crossbar broke lol. Put the stock stuff on rear only. Wishing would've just did the shroud( super easy) and front plate/ fender . Love the look of new shrouds and fender( probably gonna switch to a 17 the 09 to 16 fender dips to much in front even with shims). The newer shrouds thin it up a little, which actually makes it even better ergonomically. I feel like I'm wrecking the earth on it whenever I pull it out. 2 wheel drifts? Better than any bike I've ever rode for that. My buddy's can't understand how I'm waaaay faster on it than my 14 yzf450 or 17 crf450. It has 06 forks, decked cylinder, 05 base gasket, some pretty clean port work,99 pwk (52 pj/ 180mj) increased jetting in 2s from 45/ 172 until pinging stopped and the revs came back. And a gnarly. Sucker has power from the lower middle to forever. Everyone loves my 01 cr250 till they ride the 2002. Unfair advantage one buddy says, because the engine. 125 revs, smooth rollon, big hit and still tractable. I hit some magic combo on the engine. I haven't ever rode another two stroke 250 that was Soo fast and controllable at once. Carb slide flecked and stuck, hence loopout. Saved 150 bucks over new on eBay on that damn carb. Broke my tailbone . Lesson learned. Buddy wanted to drag race me on his kx450(08). I was wheelying the whole straight whipping him an flipped about 60mph. In basically all rocks. Good timez

Yeah deff missing pieces lol. Can you post some close up pics of the rear end? I started piecing it together and I like it. But it looks kind of like crap. Like the plastics don’t like up how they should.

I would imagine they would send out templates to a lot of graphic companies. I would bet MotoCal would have it.
