Yup I'd just throw it in the garage with the other ones. It's just a cool piece of history for our era. Especially comming up from the late 90's - mid 00's when the 2 strokes as at its top of the game till it got faded out. I'm just a die hard 125 person.

Not gonna ride it atleast once?? I'll be interested to see how stock his Huskys are. His KTM was basically a showroom bike. I hope Husky is doing some motor and suspension work. I have zero doubts he'll score points this summer, but I'd flip my shit if he breaks top 10. Be doing cartwheels all the way to the local Husky dealer
From the Main Event Podcast they delved into this, local tuner Haesker racing? is doing a full engine work up. he even posted a picture of a polished gear set earlier, so it looks like nothing is being left untouched, so he should have a little rocketship this time

but i believe this is all him again but he does have a better program this year. apparently he wasnt even adjusting jetting at any of the tracks last year because he didnt have the parts or time

He personally looks to be in better riding form too. I'm excited to see what he can make happen!

Awesome! If he can keep the corner speed he had last year, with a few extra HP I expect good results from him.
Looks like Bel-ray trusts he'll be able to race https://www.instagram.com/p/BFhMpbfBIk3/?r=971343095

Another thread here linked to an interview with KTM's head of R&D. He said 50% of KTM's dirt bike sales were two strokes. Sounds like a significant number of bikes to me. So why is Stienke with his private effort the only one representing their two strokes in proMX? They sponsor off-road guys on both their four and two strokes. What they should do is step in and help the dude, tell the AMA he's gonna run a 144cc in the 250 class and tell them they're gonna help someone with a 300cc effort in the 450 class. KTM should force the issue, the AMA's technical rules are stifling their marketing efforts which is what proMX appears to be all about these days anyway.

That's a stock 125 i'm sure he's riding in that video. Hope he isn't planning on racing a stock 125 like before.

As I recall (and I could be wrong) a young James Stewart raced and won Glen Helen on a KX125 against Yamaha of Troy 250Fs. That being said, stank dog is no James Stewart. Best of luck.

Well they didn't get a 144 approved. So maybe they were denied and had to settle for what they could get. Of course maybe they didn't ask. Curious minds want to know.

Little late for him to race a 144, already got the cylinder worked for the 125. Would be awesome if the 150 was legal, but I don't see that happening.

it would be awesome if they made the change to allow 144's but at this point in the year getting just a 125 homo'd was probably a headache. This is just submitted paperwork and a check where as the increase would be an act of god

Honestly this is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most today - seeing how well stank dawg can do on this 125. Every year my love for 2 strokes grows and fades for the thumper.
