No half pipe. I liked that addition last year.

I'm glad they've done away with the weird half pipe thing before the finish. Was a cool idea but it didn't really work all that well

1991 Hangtown, At the beginning Larry says they don't stop because of these conditions in Motocross...

No second moto, glad it wasn't the six days...

track maps arent all that accurate. i believe they are doing the half pipe again though. i wasnt a big fan of the layout, well havent been for awhile. i think they need to try open the area around Honda hill, and some of the rest of the track needs to be tweaked like the old finish line. an over under tunnel would be kinda cool

I like the idea of the halfpipe, not only for Hangtown, but to also possibly make the other tracks think outside of the box a little bit.

Pretty cool other than:

Why not rotate the start(doghouse) clockwise 15 degrees, throw in a hairpin-right after the gopro table and put the finish/some other jumps in front of the stands?

Who did the music for the track map thing? Anybody know?

The half pipe is there, I just rode the track today for amateur day practice. It's honestly super fun to ride, the drop into it is super steep though so you have to watch your speed!

The super steep off camber section got cut out. Which sucks.

I know it's one lines but it was steep and tough for the guys to get through.

Making that whole video slow motion was not a good idea...how boring!

Both class will be nuts. The field is exceptionally healthy, 95% of the big names will be there. That will be fun to watch !

So what happens if they left that in and a lapper goes down in that off camber one lined tight corner?

Better they took it out

You go around them? The corner isn't the width of a single bike.

Looking at press day footage, it was 1 lined going in to the chicane (like all chicanes, dirt or pavement) that led to the off camber. The actual corner had 4-5 lines in it.

Looks like the track is going to get rough.

You're right, I had only seen it from the exit view which basically made it look like a single lane trail.

im disapointed in cutting out the off camber completely . I remeber back in 2008, there was a gnarly off camber in the same area. the inside was shorter but slow and the out side was still kind of an option...im sure some people didnt like it but they kept it.

for a chicane it makes sense to get rid of though, with it being close to the follow turn the outside is not an option at all.

I just saw that, from Nelson's video. Like someone else says, things like this will hopefully get other tracks to think outside the box. Bummer the off camber got cut.
