How in the hell is Peick even close to Stewart to begin with ? We are talking about Peick who has gone as far as he ever will and is a over achiever who will never will and race much less a championship. How can he even be close to James "the fastest man on the planet" Stewart.
Because James isnt the fastest man on the planet anymore and hasnt been for a while now.

I honestly think JS took that quick look before making the inside cut to prevent a collision. However, WP was directly behind him and he simply didn't see him there. I generally don't defend Stew or WP. In this case, I think it was stew thinking it was clear and it wasn't and WP was simply racing. My opinion is that it's a racing incident.

What you'll see in this thread is most of the guys who actually raced MX a considerable amount will chalk it up as a racing incident. The guys who have never raced will place blame. It's the way it always is. Peick was committed to the jump. You're not backing off of a triple when you're on the face of the jump. He tripled, like most of the other top guys, James double singled and cut from the outside in. No one's fault, just two riders negotiating an obstacle differently and trying to occupy the same space. It's not hard to understand really.

You seem to forget that Jeff is now a commentator and is paid to announce the races. Jeff is essentially paid to entice drama to boost ratings.

If you were racing against someone and they tripled that section on the previous lap, what would you assume they are going to do on the next lap?

I'm neither a Peick or Stewart fanboy. I'm just a fan of good racing.

All of the fast riders were taking the same line as Stewart all night. Peick jumped ACROSS the track. He was behind Stewart, then he jumped across to be beside him.

This says it all... The guy on the yellow bike is turning & leaning right... The guy on the blue bike is committed, he's
in the air...

The guy on the yellow bike had been jumping that jump, every lap, how is the guy on the blue bike to know that the guy on the yellow bike was not going to jump the triple this time? Woohoo

I'm pretty sure Emig was on live tv at the time he said that and did not have time to review, I wonder what he thinks
now? He may not even care... It's over with...

Old story. He has and we have.

Is it me, or is Stewart wearing some kind of back brace?
When he was on the ground it looked like he was pulling his shirt down to cover something.
And his mid-section looks wider...everybody thinks that is weight but maybe it's some type of equipment under his gear.

What does make me laugh is the same people that said that Dungey moving over and protecting his line last week was a bitch move are the same ones that are saying that James has a right to protect his line...huh??
Don
Most of Stewart's crashes that involve other riders are caused by how Stewart rides like he is the only rider on the track.

Bubbles just needs to hang it up. He is so slow he's just in the way and will get someone hurt bad soon.

I'd assume that he's going to jump, but make damn sure he actually does before I launch into the back of him causing yet another injury. Stewart has the lead, Stewart picks the line. Ya'll are stupid or must really hate Stewart.

my thoughts exactly.

Stewart can't catch a break, and when he get's cleaned out from behind for the second time this season, somehow he's still the bad guy.

go figure.

Yeah it's funny you mention that I was thinking the same thing and I thought it was a little bit suspicious on the first episode of Chasing the Dream when James was talking about Dungey giving him a suspicious hug and patted him down checking in for injuries or some weird shit like that I guess RC used to do that too? But either way one could say the conspiracy theoryor just put a wheel and on James and start to get in his head at A1....well, he sure as hell got in his head good. While outlandish as that may seem, its certainly not impossible 6

Looks to me like Grant didn't triple in front of him so he had to double, he was aware of what was going on in front of him, Peick probably didn't see it.

Love all this speculation about what was going on with each rider that made it happen.

Maybe a photographer ran across the track....
