did they push the #7 out of the stadium?

I wish we had some good audio from when the bike slowed. I wonder if his engine had the same failure Ryan Dungey had in the heat race ??

Good thing it didn't start James didn't need to get back on the bike after hitting his head.

Does anyone think maybe an engine failure may have caused the wreck an subsequent nonstart issue? I thought maybe the carb being knocked out of the intake boot from the impact may have been the nonstart problem, but after reading ultrag's post he is probably barking up the right tree.

You could see James say it "hiccupped" when his team was standing around him after.

Pushed off the track, then fired up and ridden back to the pits. It was a few minutes after the crash that it was fired up though.

it was at lake sugartree and I had no brakes and no horsepower(it was 1986 or 87 and electrulux was sucking all the r&d money up for vacum motors)

And you are correct,I would not have quit.

He needs to learn how to start it,it is an art.

As much as he crashes youd think he would be good at it.

I thought I heard some popping and bogging before it happened. I said out loud "is that James bike that sounds like hell?". It could have been another bike but you can hear it in the first lap pretty well. Someones bike was running poorly.
