The man still has it whatever it is and he's still the KING of Baywatch - infact Weston Beach was similar to California last weekend in a strange weird way apart from you guys don't do kiss me quick hats and sticks of rock.

Everts was supreme, I really expected him to be off the pace of David Knight and DeReuver but blew them away.
You guys know what would happen if a bear came across a goat down in the woods!

Seriously though, I'd like to see how Everts would do in the woods. The only major MX pro I can remember in recent history (who had'nt converted to racing Cross-Country/Enduro full time) who was able to win a woods race was Doug Henry in the Triton GNCC in '05 over Juha Salminen....but to be fair the Triton is hardly a tight technical woods race, and Juha had the entire series ahead of him to be think about while Henry was only racing the one race, and kamakazied the thing. Juha finished litterally right behind him, rode up to him looking fine, and Henry quickly collapsed off the bike, literally.
No question, the dude's a stud on a dirtbike.
Pit Row
No question that he is one of the greatest in MX though.
I expected a little different of the race. It's more enduro than beachrace. On the long straight you go wide open 5th gear, and on the way back you don't come further than 2nd gear!
Le Touqeut is more a real beachrace...
My new hero: David Knight
P.S.-Anybody catch around min 9 when that guy helping out that rider on the face of that hill fell over right into a oncoming bike? DAMN he got rocked!!!
"Not finishing the solo event is really disappointing. I was really pleased with the way I rode, enjoyed battling with Josh Coppins more than any other race I've ever done, I just can't believe that having done the hard work and got into the lead it all ended with me finishing down in 13th. I made a great start but then decided to follow Everts and Coppins for the opening lap. We all broke away from the others and I had such a laugh racing with Josh. We kept passing each other for about an hour. My first pit stop went well but my bike didn't start so I had to bump start it, which meant I was about 50 seconds behind Everts then. By the second pit stop I was right with him and coming out of the fuelling area I was leading.
"With about 40 minutes to go I was about 30 seconds ahead. That's when my bike stalled and it took me about one-minute to get going again. Everts past me and although I was closing in on him my bike stopped again close to the pits and that was that. I'm not sure what the problem was but I was out of the race. Weston is hard on bikes but my motor was running well until it stalled the first time."
There is no doubt though that Knight is amazing though - In the words of the mighty Calimero "He look like a monster & ride like a monster"
If you have seen Everts at (a wet) Namur you should know this already.
Josh Coppins
Calimero
Tyla Rattray
Tom Church
Shaun Simpson
Brad Anderson (part time)
Ray Rowson (part time)
Everts (retired)
Knight and Edmondson are Enduro riders, and other than a few British championship guys the majority of the field (1000) are just normal club riders of varying skill level. Thats the great thing about Weston - anyone who wants to can enter!
I thought Mike Brown was down to ride again this year (he DNF'd last year after a great start) but he didn't show for whatever reason.
are the full results posted anywhere??
