I had a full Pro-circuit 87 cr125 at one time and owned just about every cr125 from 74 through 2002.In 1996 I raced a OTHG race at carlsbad and won both motos in vet novice on a 1986 yz 125 I pulled out of mothballs there was plenty of pissed riders!

Bill, good thing I was in the OTHG Intermediate class that day...or I would have been pissed if you beat me on that bike also! <img class= " title="Laughing">

I won a OTHG race on a KLX 250. It's all about the desire, and also, it was fun just to kick the crud out of the guys on the latest and greatest.
Cool story,
I still believe a good running 87 CR125 could easily be competative in 125C or even B class.

Did the waterpump look like this?

I can't believe you had it all this time and didn't even know it! You must have a big garage or a LOT of crap!

Cool story. My dad had an '83 CR125, and I had an '85 and '87 CR125. They were good bikes but I didnt do great on them because I was too heavy. Did better on an '89 CR250 and then a '91 CR500. I remember racing the '87 CR125 at a track near Jodrell Bank radio telescope in Cheshire, UK in '91. The engine blew going up a hill. Here's a pic of the shattered piston. I kept it because of how cool it looks. There was a little end needle roller stuck in the head! [img:37f09]http://homepage.ntlworld.com/anthony.chambers67/shattered.jpg[/img:37f09]

I would buy that if it were closer to WI
$300 is good deal[/quote:25493]
If it was in PA/NJ it would be in my garage right now.

I want to find a 1987 CR125 to sit next to my 1987 CR250. Damn I miss that bike.

I'm also working on a 78 yz80 and a 82 kx80 that I used to race. Fun stuff!

Thanks for sharing. That Honda is just sick.

I am looking for a 70s yz 80 to fix up and have my kids ride. I want them to learn on the same bike I did, though it's too late for one.
