I've bought to finish my project. This one was the least expensive though: $5.00. Unfortunately it took $60 of gas to drive and pick it up. I recently painted a frame with the high gloss epoxy PJ1 paint (black). I stripped the frame, washed with laqcuer thinner and / or contact cleaner, primed, painted and clear coated with the appropriate clear coat. Ambient temp was about 80 deg. I waited the recommended times as per the can between each coat. It still scratches very easily weeks...

This bike was purchased in October of 2006 and has 51.4 hours on it. The swing arm, linkage and steering were all disassembled prior to riding and repacked. This service was just performed again in December and the bike has mostly sat since then. Every bolt that was ever removed from this bike had grease or assembly lube applied prior...

So if you can't rebuild the shocks (parts not avail) what do you do? Just keep trying to find old shocks and use them until they wear out?
