Went to an AHRMA race this weekend

Looks like I'm going to have to get into this...no bad attitudes, no hot shot teenaged intermediates trying to impress their hoes, no rap mucic cranking throughout the pits...looked like a blast![img:b35d9]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v628/GOOD120/MOTODRIVE/IMG_0772.jpg[/…]

Vintage racing is way cool unless you get involved with the politics. Then it will suck every ounce of enthusiasm from your soul.

Two shocks and drum brakes. The way that it should be.

indeed, the way MX should be :D

One bit of advice, if you get into it. You're more likely to be better off financially to buy a vintage bike that's already been restored, or at least ready to go, than to buy several boxes of parts and doing it yourself. Let someone else go through the hassle and cost - it can be very frustrating. I can vouch for that first-hand. I've got a Maico that I'm the [b:7291c]original owner[/b:7291c] of - I kept almost all the OEM parts. I've been working on the restoration for several years now, and I'm [b:7291c]<this close>[/b:7291c] to aborting the whole deal " title="Evil or Very Mad">
Granted, I could have had it on the ground running by now, but I'm trying to do it right. It'd test the patience of a saint...

Yeah, I think I'll race the 125 at least once, but I think I'll look for a 250 on account of my muscle mass bringing me out of the typical 125 rider weight range (sarcasm). I might do like YZ John and put some 465 suspension on it...still checking that out.
