Trey Canard to Kawasaki in 2017 ?

Ive been a loyal honda fan through a lot of moves and I cannot imagine them not resigning canard. If they let trey go, I'm over it.

as much as canard has been hurt, i still think he is worth his ride. hes such a good dude, speaks well, has a large following. goes fast when hes on the track, usually a threat on any given day. wish him well wherever he ends up.

I agree on all points. I think a change of scenery would do Trey good.

Depends what Honda are after from him (or whether they have a 3 man team assuming they keep Seely) as to whether they fight any offer from Kawasaki (or anyone else for that matter), would a change of scene help Trey, maybe, but not as though he is unhappy at Honda.

I might get some heat for saying this but I would live to see Trey retire while he still has his health. With as often as that dude is hurt, major injuries, I would hate to see some something kick his ass and force him into retirement and a life of medical turmoil.
He would make a great team Honda ambassador to fill MC'S shoes and probably stay healthy.

I could see trey at BTO sports next to Davi and Justin. Hope his luck changes, Trey has more potential than anyone out there. His peak is limitless.

Moving from the beach isn't high on his priority list, it'll be interesting to see what he decides to do.

The Roczen deal has been "done" for awhile now. I have a feeling the Canard to Kawi deal, might depend on Seely's decision.
The beach seems to be doing wonders for Seely's outdoor game...

If I could get paid I'm sure I'd do the same.

Don't think RC spent too many days at the beach or BMXing though.

RC was whole different animal compared to Seely...or most of the younger factory guys today. He was 100% Moto 100% of the time...and most of the young guys like a little more balance.

If Trey is healthy, he can be a "one" on anytime. His problem is not the bike or talent.... his program is highly suspect. Especially vs. The Baker Factory, Team Tomac. Once again, Honda fucks up by letting Canard go. All being equal, Canard, smokes Seely (especially outdoors).

My ideal Honda Team:

Roczen
Canard
Seely

Kawi with Canard and Tomac have a 1980s Factory Honda powerhouse type team.

Added note: Mookie on Factory Honda in two years ---- LOOK OUT

I like Canard on Honda...but maybe he needs to change it up a little to get his mojo back. Trey hasn't been himself in a long time, and maybe he'd really click with the Kawasaki 450 & a with Tomac as a teammate. Kawasaki needs a second rider on their team that's a potential podium guy just like Tomac...and that just ain't Will Hahn, or (I don't think) Josh Grant. That could be Trey Canard...who has beaten Eli Tomac on more than a few occasions.
Honda stays by Trey during all these injuries. Its not the Honda and Canard. PLEASE see program.

Last year in SX (2015), he competed in eleven races before injury ended his season, notching two wins and seven total podiums.
There are very few riders who are able to deliver the results that Trey has, when he is healthy, both indoors and out.
Agreed 100% Trey has dungeyish character, speed, and work ethic. His lack of ability to put together a dungey like year has always been injury related, this compounds when he finally gets healthy the pressure to deliver the goods must just compound every time, which I believe leads to some of the mistakes Trey makes that no doubt compounds the pressure and so on. If Trey starts a season as he did last year for supercross, and avoids overhead and undertow hazards, then his confidence will come back and wins will follow, no matter what color bike he's on, although I personally think he should ride some more red...

How long before Vital says I told you so if things go wrong, after all its a 50-50 call....its going to be either good or bad isnt it?

Personally I wish the guy the best of luck and Trey too (getting back to the OP) whoever he races for.
