Again, I'm not a pro, so maybe the reactions and the speeds are very much different than I'm used to. All I know is that among us slower, older guys, the dude in Dungey's spot would be seeing a whole lot of my left elbow from the time Brayton (Millsaps?) let off about 15 feet out of the gate, all the way to the Tuff Blocks lining the inside. If you want to come up and cause a crash, that's OK, but my intention is to go straight to the inside of the corner. And I'm making it blatantly obvious that you are going to cartwheel off the track unless you let off.
BTW, I don't really see anything wrong with Dungey's love tap, either.
Anderson did clean him out in the second one...And Eli's crash was his own fault as he tried to run it in on Anderson and just washed out...

Second incident; he could have seen that coming too, could have cut the line inside instead of going where Ando wanted to block him. It looks like a blatant t-bone whereas I think he was just trying to take the line away and was a bit too late in the manoeuver. Kind of a racing incident again, unfortunate.
On the other hand:
1. Incident with Dungey; I think the Dunge was a bit upset, as Seely did not give much room to him.
2. He crossed jump hard on stewart earlier during the race.
I really like what he does this season, I was not thinking he would still be top 3 top 5 in this championship, he is super fast & super smooth (see how many positions he gained until the first crash!), but he should improve his race craft too, and not whine as not one rider is 100% guilty in these incidents.
Anderson incident 1: Cole clearly glances over his right shoulder to move over on Anderson. He set himself up for that scenario and bad timing on trying to cut back under Anderson. No harm/foul here.
Anderson incident 2: I agree with everyone that Cole should have done a better job at protecting his inside lines on the last lap, but he was pretty much at the very exit of the corner when Anderson made contact. That was a full on kamikaze/bonzai take out, and worthy of a payback. For the win it makes much more sense (Reed/Stewy incident in ATL a couple years ago), for 7th it's a little much in my eyes.
Love race vids as shoes the warp speed these guys go at & the reaction times, suppose thats why their the pros eh.
2nd incident was half and half. Cole made a bonehead move going wide and JA came sliding into the turn and slammed CS. It was no where near a T-bone, JA slid sideways before hitting CS.
Pit Row
Second one, would be unacceptable anytime during the race other than last lap, but yes Anderson used Seely as a rut essentially.
A video of Cole's attempt to run Jason OFF OF THE TRACK in the sand-pit-turn.
If I catch you & you try some "block" move on me?
I'm gonna retaliate.
Count on it.
BEARS!
Anderson wasn't even in the position to make a pass in that last lap, he was till in the whoops when Cole was already turning. He just went straight into the turn, he was standing like 120° to the track direction...
My perspective is that the first one Anderson went in a little wild, Seely went to cut back inside and hit into JA's back wheel, JA was going down.
Second one is a clean take out from JA, Cole may have left the door open just no way was he going to make that pass without making considerable contact.
Just my opinion
Cole is right to be pissed.
The second one looked way more intentional but I didn't see it live because I was watching Stewart not get out of the way for Musquin.
unlike the Peick deal though, i hope Cole keeps his cool, talking about retaliation is like giving the officials a heads up
Post a reply to: No wonder Cole is pissed
