Bummer Bereman didn't qualify he lived up to the old saying "jumping for show, cornering for dough". He made the LCQ guys look like goons over the triple.
Hahahaa, but those goons beat him (Bereman), no? How much "fun" is it losing to those goons? Maybe his hair got in his eyes?

Durham rode super well. He sure had great starts all night long!

I'm confused. Is their website, theviewing.tv? If so, it's not up and running. Why wouldn't you do this so you can sell merch and continue to fund whatever the hell they're trying to do? Is this a race team or a film project?

Anyone see Durn Durm gesture to Justin Hill? Looked like he was cheering him on.
I did, that was funny. Not sure what the context was, but I laughed regardless

That's my point. He was fun watching, but you wont make mains on throwing "sick" whips. Although I'm sure those have paid for his living in the past. Great to see a guy like Bereman finally line up for a race though, all credits to him for it. I respect all guys showing up to the races.

You can get a fasthouse jersey there. Their name and number isn't on it though. Not sure if that's what you want.
No Pick up kit for me LOL. The T Shirts that Sethgator was talking about in this thread.

Lot's of dudes out there though, only one can win. I'm ok with some pretty fast guys out there throwing whips. In the end, other guys would be out there in their place if they weren't fast enough for the night show, correct?

BUT...

What if everyone trained their ass off and everyone crossed the line at the same time!

He's racing tho dude. People like you are such sticklers. I can't remember the exact finishing order from Washougal this past summer, but you better fucking believe I remember Josh Grant's whip over the road jump in practice. He threw it so hard I thought he was going to slide out on the face in the slippery conditions and obliterate himself. Don't pretend like style and showmanship doesn't sell, because it definitely does.

They already stated the reason they were out there was to have fun! Never once did I read that they were out there to win!

Stickler? No, I don't think so.

You dont think winning is fun? Im missing something here... Nobody enters a race on that stage without wanting to win. Up and comers, yeah, they want to make a night show, then make a main. But on their level, Durham especially, they want to race and take a shot at winning. Dont kid yourself, they arent out there to be clowns and have a good time. Seriously man....

You think everyone that lines up for a pro race has the same mentality of winning, like Dungey for instance?

They're out there to compete, though. Maybe not necessarily win, but compete and have fun and throw whips and ride with style and give people some entertainment. While competing. Idk dude, you're coming off as stickler-ish.

So let me get this straight...we have 2 privateers that figured out a way to put together a race team, get solid backing for said team, gain exposure for team, put out content for the fans regarding the team, qualify for the night show, one of the riders was fast as hell after a pretty extensive list of injuries and time off, and do all of this while actually enjoying it...and somehow this is a bad thing?

The thing I don't get us this..."if the dude had a program he'd be competing for the championship"??? What the hell has he ever done two races in a row to give anybody such illusions? Wierd!

Right!? I have heard him say that riding. For the teams seem to be a downward spiral for him and if he can have a low pressure environment where he is having fun, he will ride his best.......I hope we see some more of this "fun".

I thought he was impressive; if he keeps this up, he could be in the top 5 by seasons end.

I can relate to that. People are wired differently. Sometimes I thrive under certain pressures, and then I crumble under others like a dried up cookie.

You dont think Durham especially, has it in his mind, i can shut this shit down and make a statement that the factory gigs aren't the only way to win. Im not missing the point at all. Have fun, tour the eaat coast and free ride and do whatever it takes to reel off a win and shut the haters down who said he threw it all away when he lost his factory ride. There is a payback mentallity to it for sure. As long as its fun, who the hell really cares? I like the idea of these two coming out and giving a big middle finger to the corporate/ factory or bust mentallity. I'd love to see Them both finish top 5 in points and high five the factory boys while doing it

Funny how the Durham thread turns into a Bereman bashing thread for Underdog999.She obviously has an issue with him based on some of her comments. Bereman is a racer, always has always will. He has suffered alot of injuries the last few years but does not quit when he does unlike others. He loves racing motorcycles sx/mx/flattrack/ vintage it doesn't matter. 21st qualifying first time back after a few years against the big money teams not bad. He'll get there! His sponsors love him!

I found that comment odd also. Bowers is part of one of the best programs in the sport, but Durham still passed him on lap 13, for the 7th spot. Bowers had previously taken over the third position from DD, on the third lap. They both ended up sliding backwards and losing positions to Hill, Plessinger, Jmart, and Hampshire. The final three positions on the lead lap went to Frye, Albertson, and Bisceglia. Bower's lap times really started to fall off beginning at lap ten. Tyler basically ran 52 second laps for the last six of the race. Durham only ran one sub 50 second lap, compared to Bower's three, but Darren held a faster pace until the finish. The riders that finished in front of them all had four or fewer 50+ second laps, with the exception of Hampshire, who ran eight sub 50s, and seven 50+. Mookie was definitely the fastest guy all night, running sub 50s in EVERY lap except the one he crashed on.

That's your first post?

Are you related to Bereman by chance?

My problem with Bereman (and guys like him) is that he could do so well if he applied himself! He did well at Loretta's and then he turned into a hipster. Sad, really. If he just wants to go out and have fun, that's his deal. Just a shame that all that talent is going to waste. What is he afraid of? Why not train to win? Why is he settling for just "fun" and not adding winning to it, also? He has the talent to do it.

May I stick my nose in here a little bit...I gotta ask. Why do you care so much about what he's doing/not doing? Look, we get it, you don't approve. But why do you have to keep beating a dead horse here? It's kind of weird.

add "talent agent" to the list of hip-pocket vital professions, right after lawyer, doctor, and track designer.

I'm not sure why you see it as sad, do you think the top 5 in the 250 east series are making millions?
