I will hit the panic button if he does not run much closer to the top 10 in the 2nd half of the series.

He is not doing much worse than a few riders that are much more experienced, and he is still healthy and so racing and learning. I was predicting top 7-top 12, a top 10-top12 in this championship is still doable.

C'mon, maybe he will turn things around, but for now, he absolutely hit rock bottom at SDII...

CP keeps his word and turns it up with a solid 8th in the Main.

Plus he came close to taking a Heat win over Dungey and Roczen, with only KR getting by him.

Canard on the other hand continues to make some of the worst decisions on the track. I am really starting to believe he is just completely unaware of the situations he puts himself in.

Last weekend he looked like was riding sick. This weekend totally different rider and putting
good laps all day. His bike setup doesnt look that good on tight parts as he making longer turns
as Dungey and Anderson can get bike turn around pole.

Wow the Christophe Pourcel we all know is almost back. One bobble away from a heat win and a lousy start in the main to salvage an 8th place. Yes he had a couple gifts at the end from Bogle, Freise, and Reed, but all and all a huge step forward for CP. I regret throwing in the towel on him last week. Really looking forward to Daytona, I feel like he could podium there. If it's a swamp I'll go all on for a win.

To me it's if he's out there racing he should be held to the same standard as anyone else. It's great what he came back from but it was a long time ago and he has won races since. It shouldn't be used as a factor in his performance or lack thereof anymore. Just my opinion.

Where I live, there is a guy who races MX with only one arm. If he would finish last, then in your opinion he is a loser because "he should be held tot the same standard as anyone else" since he's out there ... Whistling

He literally said in interviews I linked to earlier in this thread in both transworld and racerx that it would take 5-6 races for him to get used to racing guys again and be out there with 21 other guys. He said the exact same thing outdoors, give him 5 races and he'd start pushing it...5 races later and the guys hauling the mail. Dudes a badass and knows exactly what he's doing, he's got 2016 to feel things out and 17 to go out there and kill it. He ran with dungey and Kroc in the heat, but you could obviously see the rust, he's no where as polished as those guys that have been up front in SX for the last 5 years or more while he's been riding GP's during that time with basically no SX.

You can't look at everything in a vacuum. And he doesn't use the injury as an excuse so I don't think we should either. He was very successful after it. It's the time off and the periodic retirements that are the issue.

By the fact that i give a lot of respect for CP just for being out there racing at top level,it doesnt mean im waiting on a win, or whatever result he can have.
as a MX fan i just like to see him there because of his talent, despite what personality or options he chooses.
I just cant keep quiet when i see the hipocrisy of some members here that bitch on him any giving chance, demanding results and performances that they know he cant get..
I bet if he was american he would be an hero for what he had to go through to be out there.
OK he is french, OK he is diferent, but he is a great talent that is a pleasure to see riding..
