Is there a set or predicted return date for Justin. I thought I'd heard he hoped to be back to catch the last couple SX rounds, but then I thought I'd heard he'd be out for 5 rounds.

Edit: damn iPhone, just found out I posted this in non moto

Edit version 2: I'm losing my mind because now it's in moto related. I think my mind is blown.

I miss BamBam as well, hoping for a speedy recovery. Its doubtful he will do much in SX if he comes back towards the last few rounds but who else on here thinks he is gonna be a total badass outdoors this year! Count me in

he'll be back asap. I would not expect him to come back and be 100%. last year after his injury he came back not being in race shape and he said that he rather is going to the races and gets some seat time than pounding out laps at home till he is 100% in shape. I expect him back for the last 3 races only tho. he needs to heal up 100% with this kind of injury.

his strava is already pretty busy again. he basically took one day off cycling after his operation and was straight back putting in intervals. he wants it for sure.

Barcia seems to have really embraced the cycling lifestyle. After moto do you guys think he has a 2nd career in pro cycling? I would assume mountain before road, but I do not know how strong he is on the bike.

according to his strava he is riding more road bike than mtb. he just finished a camp with tom danielson (8th place at tour de france in '11). i know all the riders ride bicycles but riding 450k+ per week at 2.5k altitude and a lot (i mean A LOT) of climbing is just a new level of cross training. really cool to see that he is so into cycling.

btw, he got his pin pulled today. so he should be cleared to do what ever he wants (aka riding a dirt scooter) in about 8 weeks from now.

yeah, of all the Pro MX guys (that post on Strava anyway), Barcia is definitely one of the best cyclists.

he's back on the dirt scooter.
probably quite a bit work to do to get back up to speed and there have been a view changes on the bike since he got injured as well.
fitness should not be a problem at all tho.
would be awesome to see him back for the last 3-5 sx races.

Can't wait for Justin to get back out there. To me even when he was riding a little "erratic" in his 250 days he seemed like he just loves moto. I hope he can be a serious player this summer because he is so entertaining to watch.

Justin is for sure another rider I really started to appreciate over the last couple seasons. And last year at Washougal in the mud , holy hell...he was just going for it! Very , very fun to watch when that dude is feeling it!
