On the Racer X podcast, JT and the Newf said it appeared that Pourcel just wasn't trying at A2.
Does he only try hard when he gets a good start?
Well maybe you guys enjoy riders pushing over their capabilities and confort zone and geting hurt, who knows.

on a positive note......b-stewy will win oakland!! you heard it here first!
Personal opinion here but I don't think he has the strength right now for 20 laps of sx, it might be his nerves who knows. If he could win, no way he would be laying back.
All weekend warriors understand being fast 1 lap and then throwing up on the 4th lap
After breaking my neck and not being able to move then getting it back over the next few months all i could think about was being able to race again.
Had not ridden at all but found a shop owner willing to give me a bike.
The day i was to pick up i needed to tell the family ,I had a panic attack so bad that I really thought a major heart attack was happening. Never had one before or since. I didn't pick up the bike.
But I did start sneaking out and racing my 03 husky telling my wife I was just working on bikes at the race. One nite I collide with a lapper over a big double and wad. All bruised up she saw and i came clean.
A year later got the ride on the Honda 08 and raced 2 more years. I lost that wreckless style not wanting to fubar myselfwhich i did end up doing.
CP is on a 2nd life and I know how he feels, if that team doesn't like it I'm sure they will drop him. I'm sure he is happy just being able to race and get the thrill . While being one of the top 20 riders in sx,not bad
But the critics are also right, it is a bit frustating to watch, I think he needs to improve his program with a top level riding buddy, I mean to learn even faster. Roczen could be a great partner for instance; KR has much more experience now and he needs to practice with a guy who has always been a great starter.
So I'll say nothing.
Pit Row
And considering his past injuries, I dont blame him for his patient approach.
The real x factor is if CP can keep his head with his team. I think he will.
it was heartbreaking to see my man stew pulling off with his gut hanging over the gas cap. i had dreams of some big stew flashes of brilliant speed. he looked really sketchy in the opening laps of his heat and the main...bummer
I agree. hillbilly is comparing Pourcel to himself. And that's an unfair comparison. You nailed it: Pourcel is being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars and getting lapped.
This is an end of an era for Stewart. However, a lot of people are not willing to accept that. Who takes 18 months off of pro sports and comes back at the top at 33 years old? Stewart's suspension from pro motocross merely sealed his fate.
Frankly, Stewart has been at this for a long time now. He's had many concussion and a lot of injuries. And, like Villopoto, he may no longer have the drive.
I guess the moral of that story is to qualify better though.
He hasn't even finished inside the top 10 yet. The only guy that's raced every race and has LESS points that Pourcel is Mike Alessi.
Injured in year 1, comes back in year 5 and makes the LCQ entertaining.
He is having a better season then Brock Tickle, Justin Bogle, Justin Barcia, Dean Wilson, James Stewart.
