I can't wait for Tomac, Roczen, Stewart, Reed, etc to start ripping off wins week after week but what if they don't? 17 rounds seems pretty excessive. If it was a shorter season the Dungey concept would apply less and maybe make for more aggressive racing. Maybe not. Just hoping for more parody at the front of the pack.

But I am kind of amazed that anyone (maybe short of the racers themselves) would complain about more racing, rather than less.
Can someone rationally explain this to me that would make sense?

But it gave Texans hope after starting what, 2 and 5???
-disappointed Texans fan, but still better than being a cowboys fan.
Now lets get real. Tomac, Roczen, Anderson, Canard and Reed will likely win races this yea. And I hope it takes all 17 rounds for it to happen.
But this isn't team or stick and ball sports, it's racing, and I think resetting the points mid way or 3/4 the way through is an absurd idea... To me.
So other than the explanation of... They do it like that over in the other 3 letter leagues so we should do it too! Apply it to our sport, MX/SX RACING ... Where the goal is to amass the most amount of points in a season to crown the champion and explain how resetting the points is a good idea and some how will magically make it all more interesting.
Maybe do the grand national champion with both MX and SX with the blue plate or something would be cool, sort of uniting the two disciplines and champions together???
