Double Standard?

Hate to be this guy, but friese took out pieck, people get mad. Canard takes out Dungey, rubbing is racing. I realize the context to the situation, but do you think because of the racers involved in the incident, we perceive it differently?

No. Two totally different racing situations.

Canard's move wasn't dirty or stupid in any way, he got alongside Dungey and just pushed him out. What Friese did was a blatant take out. Regardless of the people involved, there's a huge difference in the two incidents

When Reed did that it was an obvious retaliation move, he wasn't racing.

If they red-flagged it, I'd suggest that James was napping, and they didn't want to move him without knowing the extent of his injuries. He was also laid out just off the racing line, and a rider's momentum would have taken them towards the incident, not away from it.

I'd also suggest that if the main had continued, the winner would have been Roczen. That's based on his position in the first main. In the second one, he started almost dead last and ended up fifth.

You don't think they should have red flagged the race when a rider is laying KOed next to the track? Huh

Ken was actually down within the first two corners. I can't remember if it was turn one or two though... Great comeback and salvage on his part.

I was very disappointed with the crowd boo-ing the red flag decision. Rider's safety is number one in situations like that.

He may have been in a safe position but he was knocked the fuck out on the opening laps. All the other crashes you mentioned had riders getting back on their bikes, not blowing snot bubbles in dreamland. The Red flag was for rider safety.

Wasn't Roczen pretty close to Dungey in the second main after Dungey went down ? I thought I saw him on the same straight as Dungey and Dungey kind of gapped him a little by the end. Granted there was usually a rider or two between them.

Lap one...and Kenny had already made some passes.

Ryan had dropped from fourth to seventh before coming back to second.

Idk about the rest of the stadium but no one in my area of the stadium boo'd the red flag decision. They were pissed and booing dungey for taking James out. I watched it a few more times after I got home and even if dungey didn't clip the jump he was going straight into James no matter what!

Yup wasn't very nice to hear at all, does the crowd want people killed?

It's the Monster Truck fan mentality that our sport is currently breeding.

Canard saw the opening to re pass Dungey and ran Dungey over the berm. Dungey left himself vulnerable. Canard knew he was punting Dungey, so don't say Canard is a nice guy. He knew if Dungey got past him, Dungey was gone. Canard saw the chance to move Dungey back and try to keep him from getting to the front. Yes, that's racing, but don't call it clean.

Same in my section. Peeps in front row were flipping RD off every time he came by. Were were sitting right in front of first triple.
