Best stock 450 for racing?

What brand has the best stockbikes for racing between 2011-2014. I have a very limited amount of cash so i can not get newer than a 2014 and i can not do any major upgrades to it.

When i say best stock im aiming towards suspension, throttle response and other important things. Light weight and easy to ride is important aswell.

IMO Yamaha has the best setup stock. Ktm is a great bike if you want to dump some money in the suspension.

12 suzuki imo ,turns the best , nice power and feels light ,untill you put it on the stand . id never buy a used kawi . 12 honda is a good bike two imo . but i d stay well away from the 13 honda ,gearbox trouble ,and 1st year air forks

Out of the crate, bone stock a 14 or newer YZ450F is hard to beat. The 12-13 Suzuki's are nice - but you will need suspension work on the forks. KTMs (2015 and newer) produce a ton of power stock, but need some suspension work. Overall, I'd have to say the Yamaha is your best choice.

Also, look online and read all of the bike test and shootouts. When you read multiple ones they do not have the same outcome but you get the general idea of the positives and negatives of each machine. Happy hunting

thats spot on imo . it would be better buy a bike that is mint when buying second hand more so than just the brand . there has nt been a bad bike made since 07 .,unless you are a really good rider ,you wont go any quicker on a new bike than a 08 imo . look in to what was good and bad about certain year s. all brand have certain things that wear quicker etc or had problems , ie honda went from the best bike ever built in 08 to a compilete bag of shit in 09 .

All of them are so good, you're not going to be significantly faster on any one of them over any of the others.

A mint, low hour CRF has to be a better buy than a dogged KXF right?

2011 or 12 crf 450. Have felt better on my 2009 kx 250f that thing was incredible.

I'd say that unless you are at least a good A rider...the best stock 450 for you is the cleanest one, with the least amount of hours you can find that fits your budget. The brand doesn't matter...for the average rider, the bikes are all SO SO good these days that you can't go wrong and you'll love any one of them.

if your looking used the lack of riding time and did they know how to do any maintenance will make a far bigger impact a on the bike than the brand.

go suzuki. its chassis it the most sorted out of the box and the engine is easy to go fast on. its not a rocket like others but it has enough for mortals

if new then Kawasaki or Yamaha, really depends on your riding ability, height/size, etc and what your nearest dealer support is like....going for the bike that always wins shootouts doesnt mean it is the best bike for YOU

Don't pay attention to color and just go learn how to ride a bike...A fast rider can take any bike made in the last 20 years and be fast on it...And a shitty rider can take any bike in the last 20 years and be shitty on it! Most people on here that give you opinions on bikes...only suggest that bike because that's what they rode and have no way to compare it...the other half just spew regurgitate one sided nonsence all over your thread...

Buy the most bike that you can afford. Since you appear to be buying used, color may not be the only factor. Things like hours, condition, previous owners bolt ons all become factors. for instance, 3 years ago I was looking at 2010-2012 bikes until I found a 2006 yz450 with next to no hours for 1800 bucks. I bought it, bolted on an exhaust and had the suspension done. Best 2800 dollar 450 I could have asked for.
