That would be perfect, he has another 3-4 years on 250s right? Think of the titles you'd have hanging on your wall (In addition to the ones you already have).

What do you charge that one guy that has 2 Outdoor Championships? Jeremy is his name, right?

I did not see this coming... really like Baker, but it's cool to see Roczen and AC break way, because Baker has been getting too much credit IMO. Will be great to see AC do well without him

Damn... somebody posted Forkners Contract on Vital?...

Adam has been on the program long enough he knows the drill. He knows the routine, what aldon is looking for and what to do.

Nah man it'll just get deleted. Some guy made a troll account and made that one post and it was just screenshots of Austin's contract. I'll bet people saved it.

I'd argue that RV would have a much more difficult time without a trainer. RV didn't really "dominate" all of his championships. He won a few of them by a very small margin. He was pudgy before contracting with Baker and pudgy just doesn't get the job done against a guy like RD. Maybe any other trainer could have kept RV in line, but guess who DID do it. . . You can argue your hypothetical bullshit all day but you'll never be able to produce concrete evidence like what is already out there. AB has the most amount of wins, and therefore, he is the best trainer. . .
So if I pick up AC and train him, and Aldon starts training TYLER FORM TEXIS, and AC beats Tyler, I'm a better trainer than Aldon...

Solid Vitard logic.

Here's your stats. Virtually every rider Aldon has ever taken on, had one or more championships prior to coming aboard.

Rc, js, rv, wiemer, rattray (world), dungey, marvo (world), kenny, Anderson, and AC.

The only one who doesn't, is AC and he happens to be the winningest am in the history of the sport which has to count for something. If I left someone out, my apologies and disregard.

Not trying to shit on Aldon but if you want to talk stats, he makes champions into more fit champions and in 2 (maybe 3)cases burns out a champ.

When you say previous champs you're talking about 250 champions? Where they race half a season, fewer laps and on a track that is fresher than the 450 class? Not saying it's a walk in the park, but it's certainly nowhere near the 450 effort. I'm pretty sure rv would give you the same response.

I'm pretty sure Mike alessi so is the poster child of how a championship riddled amateur career doesn't always convert to a championship riddled pro career.
1/7/2016 5:51pm
So you're claiming 250sx isn't a championship and comparing AC to Alessi.

Yea this has to be a monetary decision. The kid needs a few championships to pay the fitness tab.

You can misinterpret what I'm saying and put words in my mouth all you want. A 250 championship is easier to obtain than a 450 championship. A trainer is much more necessary at the 450 level. Clearly dungey and rv along with Aldon can prove that one.

Side note. Condescension and name calling don't add any credibility to your argument.

Aldon clearly makes a difference, or these guys wouldn't pay him the amount of money they do. I just don't think he's as important as some people make out. You don't need to train with him to win, and leaving his training program is not going to send your career downhill in the way some people say. He did make a difference with Dungey last year, but who would've beaten him anyway with the way the year went?

If O'mara had moved to Florida like RC wanted him to, you'd all be posting about how great Johnny is. Instead Johnny stayed home to raise his family and introduced Ricky to an unemployed ex-cyclist who learned on the job while Johnny tutored him from SoCal.

What are all you guys going to say when no Aldon riders win titles next year?

Also, you fools go on and on about how chubby Ricky was before Aldon, I'd like to see that picture.

AC has been training and paying Aldon a ton of money over the last few years. He is a smart kid, you dont think he could have learned how to train himself at this point and pocket a ton of cash? His results havent exactly been indicative of securing a future contract, and every penny counts with these short careers. He is probably making a prudent business decision. Based on past history, of which AC is an astute historian of MX, he can figure out that one can only endure so long on the Baker regimen before burning out mentally and physically. He doesnt need that elite fitness right now in his career. He needs to ride, say healthy, and secure another contract. The 250 class isnt exactly full of Bakers athletes so he can win there without him, especially with what he already knows about training. Hes a smart kid, with smarter family and I trust he is doing what is best for him.
A person can train one simple thing while being told when what and how to do it for years, but once they aren't told what/how/when to do it, they may or may not do what they should to make there goal(to win).

Do you train correctly? If so, who say's you do?

You don't even lift bro.

i agree with the omara thing but baker said himself that ricky had to watch his diet more than any other rider. I'm not saying he was fat before just that he had to be more strict with his diet. baker said in one interview that rc only needed to drive by a mcdonalds and already would put on 5lbs. Grinning

I'm not insulting you. I'm describing you. You're grasping for straws. Everyone Aldon has ever trained had a championship before they came to him. End of story. You have to be trolling. There's no way you're serious.

More condescension and superiority. . .

So you're saying a 250 championship is comparable to a 450 championship? Because you're not acknowledging it. . . and you're arguing as if a 250 championship automatically translates to a 450 championship. . . If you can't differentiate between the two, I can't help you. . . and if you want the end of the story, Aldon has trained riders with more 450 championships over the last decade than any other trainer.

Aldon didn't ride the bike himself, the riders all put the time in and won for the teams, but Aldon has been a very consistent service across different brands. . .

Now you can say end of story.

I can tell for a fact that Austin was in serious talks with multiple teams (shocker). Yamaha just gave him a amateur bike with a GYTR head to ride. While it is a good bike, it isn't the same the Star guys run. Geico was super close to stealing him away from Mitch, the bike was good and they threw out a great offer to him. Then Mitch came in and matched the offer, and Austin got to stay green where he is comfortable, and already knew about Fox coming on board so he was able to stay with his gear company.

I don't know. The dude that posted it was a one post wonder. I'm on several hobby forums and I can say that Vital by far gets the most trolls and bizarreness. And that's in no way a slight towards Vital, but likely the nature of the business. Since MX seems to have a lot of questions without answers to the poster's liking, rumors and truth get co-mingled and it becomes one big drama. I enjoy the entertainment the board provides so rumors and truth are equally interesting to me. Neither affect my life.
