What happened on PulpMx with producer

I like that Tallon guy two weeks ago. Honestly I think Steve try to make gibbs one of the guys but he always complain and came back with suck a d###. I will listen no matter what bc I'm a moto fan but sometimes I wouldn't finish a show because of gibbs.

People want to look for some big thing that happened or maybe a fight or whatever but sometimes, things just end. I felt like we needed a change in that position for chemistry sakes, I felt like Gibbs was losing interest and getting angrier and I did hear the numerous voicemails, read the tweets, emails or on here for people that were also not pumped on having him on the show. Like, it got to be a lot. Add all three of those things up and we decided to make a change. Gibbs is cool, he did a good job for us and hopefully he's not pissed.

I like how Gibbs said in that instagram screenshot on the first page that Steve never really liked him.....NO SHIT! I dare anyone to find a boss that likes an employee who is always telling him to fuck off and eat a dick. Let alone one who puts up with it for 2 years.

I thought you guys piled on him WAY too much. There was no reason to have multiple voicemails every night ragging on the guy, constantly bringing up the Dungey wife thing, the spelling thing, etc.

And it seems like none of your guys are true "producers". A producer organizes the segments, runs the show, handles all the behind the scenes stuff. All the Pulp producers have ever done are answer phones and play the sound clips.

I listen to 100% of the Pulp moto output, and really appreciate it, but I think Steve needs to decide whether he wants to be the host, or the person running the mechanics of the show. Hire someone capable to guide the show along throughout the night, quit eating, stop being a dick towards faults the person can't help, and the show would be even better.

How many shows do you really need to talk about him being "creepy" (we get it Steve). Gibbs wasn't great but Steve did himself no favours in those exchanges.

Currently the bar for getting a thread on here is pretty low. Hopefully it goes up as we get into the real season. Wink

Thanks! I was pretty nervous so it's good that I still sounded decent! Even if I don't get back in, it was cool to see the janky "lions den" and meet Steve, filthy and Amart!

I'm very happy he is gone. And I agree I felt he was a poor fit with the show. Not saying he did a bad job just his on air personality was horrible

The dude did not get it. He was supposed to be a shadow of a personality, back up Steve, carefully handle the guests (all professional athletes, some of whom are rockstar millionaires), and ensure his job is done seamlessly all with humility and maybe a tad of lightly seasoned sarcasm.

But there were times where I could hear him challenge Steve and even talk loudly into the mike calling Steve out on stuff. Lame lame lame. Biting the hand that feeds you. If I only heard a few things then I am sure there was more behind the scenes we did not hear. Hence Steve's decision.

For Devin to then post on his social media a statement that clears himself of all wrongdoing, but suggests Steve is unfair in his decision like there is some kind of conspiracy, tells a lot. He still doesn't get it.
this plus he really sounds like "its always someone elses fault" "someone owes me". way too cocky for his skill set.
i hope he develops a new talent, because producer or comedian aint happening bro'.

love pulp and all the other material for races etc. but dear wally whoop dee doo--please stop telling the same stories over and over.--we know he is creepy,we know weston has no filter,we know keefer is on 24 hr boner mode.tighten up the flow a touch. if its not moto, move along a bit faster please.(monster girls, wives).

cant wait for the next show steve.

Seems like it all started w/ the Mrs. Dungey thing. Matthes was not letting that go. Rightfully so.

Im sure it wasnt enjoyable for Steve to fire Gibbs especially since this guy has been coming over his house every week for the last 2 years and the whole thing played out in public. New year, new start. I look forward to the show for 2016 no matter who the producer is. Keep up the good work Steve, I'll be listening to everything you put out.

I think it was something about Gibbs talking to Dungey's wife at the races and then it snowballed into Gibbs stalking Dungey's wife or being inappropriate. He got really upset.

Gibbs was fine. The backlash was just adolescent piling-on.

I'd say for the level of content we get for free I have zero complaints. Much of this industry is still just for the love of it. PulpMX is a prime example. Vital is another. 99% of the wrench turners in the pits are another. All this stuff is WAY more work than what it pays. Most don't pay anything at all.

Cut the guys some slack and over look the quirks. It could be MUCH worse, or worst yet nonexistent.

Thanks for putting in the effort Steve and company, DG included for trying. Hell, I couldn't do it, and the kid was probably working for nothing....

How big is the following or ratings for the pulp show? I've never really listened. But when you listen to talk radio I swear to god everyone of them hate their program directors/producers. It's like an understood phenomnen.
