The field better be ready for a fired up and very quick Chad Reed. That Yamaha looked incredible through the whoops and Chad looked very comfortable on that YZ450 and he still has more time to dial that bike in and 5 weeks to get even fitter. He has that fire in his eyes that has got him 2 SX titles. Chad will be in the hunt for the title come the end of 2016 SX series.
The real question will probably be if he has that good feeling about the bike and the speed to run up front, how long can he keep it up.
That has seemed to be major issue for him with the changing venues, terrain, and conditions as the series gets in the later stages.
If he can accomplish that, what a way to go out, or does he go for another year then?
I personally hope he gets a couple more wins before he decides to call it quits.
Edit - Several times in the recent past he was his own worst enemy, even before Team 22. Maybe everything will click for him now.
Good one, well played.

Very dull future ahead for Mr webb
If you think that head to head was at full pace your dreaming.
I think the reality check for me was watching Cooper Webb closely during the night, because he had some moments where he was doing things on the bike in sections that blew Chad and everyone else out of the water. That made me ask myself just how much better again are the current 450 top 5 guys compared to what I'm seeing? It was certainly an eye opener.
Tune out social media? I'm thinking he's not going to give that up, but who knows.
Reed could probably win a race or at least compete for a win every season for the next 3-4 seasons, but those are more "lightning in a bottle" moments now than in his prime. Doing that each week for 5 months? I wouldn't bet my mortgage on that. The competition in the SX championships is a bit tougher than Reardon, Faith, and Bopping, so looking great against those guys might not be the same as looking great against Tomac, Roczen, Dungey, Stewart, etc....
Chad is one of the best to ever race SX, though, so if you don't get to see that level of racing live that often, I can understand the folks who might come away thinking that he's going to go out and crush everyone next year.
Cooper brought a gas tank, front end, subframe and a pipe (per eddy Ray), and that Chad said something about having something the other guys didn't (factory ignition)
Chad looked awesome, but I would've been a little surprised if he didn't look awesome. He grew up racing stuff exactly like that
Pit Row
Fixed race fo sho.
For rc Vs Reed race were lapping in the 31.
In the 20 Lapp final Reed was doing laps in 28 n 29 sez
All I saw was Reed and RC on valve floaters.
RC actually dropped a lot of straight talk during the day, it was pretty damn interesting.
Piss poor excuse.
I don't hang out at the farm much to see what or where or how often he rides.
You?
