Hey guys. There's a link in here somewhere for special Honda parts...if I remember right it's in one of the exhaust discussions. Anyway, I found a couple parts there that I'm interested in, but all that will come up for me is the pictures and description. I can't find anywhere to contact the seller or to purchase. It seems to still be a working site...maybe just not in the US? The site is
www.mastercross.net
Or if someone here is/knows who is selling the HRC 250 exhaust (new) I'd definitely be interested if it's for the right year. (Doesn't have a year listed.)

Mastercross is run by Claudio and his secretary Tiziana from Italy. They are good honest people and know what they are talking about. If you e-mail Tiziana she will give you a shipping cost. They understand English well. He has lots of factory and NOS OEM parts. I have had lots of stuff from them. You can buy with confidence.
Thanks jt! It can be a little sketchy ordering some of these parts, so the positive review is also appreciated!

Couple questions:
1) I know there are several options for better suspension on the front. Working with a '93 what's the best way to go and what can be done with the rear? When everything is all said and done I'll have some Emig Racing clamps with newer forks, but until then...??

2) Somewhere in here the question was asked about having to put some kind of finish on the soda blasted parts...I haven't heard of having to do this, but has anyone had any problems with them without putting anything on them? Ultimately I'd like to go with aqua - blasting, but I'm having a hard time finding someone to do it without having to ship everything.

3) What's the difference between the 92-94 exhaust and 95-96 exhaust?

1) You can use the '95-96 KYB shock and Ti spring. Gives you hi- and lo- speed compression dampening. You also can still get the "works" extended bladder kit from PC (last time I checked, about 3 months back). This gives you pretty close to a factory shock (at least, on an average guy's budget) and is way, way beefier than stock. Have this on my '93 and '95 both.

2) Don't know much about soda blasting specifically, but I imagine the requirement for a sealant finish would depend on the material blasted (i.e., Mg or Al or steel) and your climate to a certain extent also.

3) There is no difference. The '93 is however slightly lighter (if we're talking about PC pipes). Everyone wants the PC pipe(s) and indeed I have one on both my '93 and '95, but plenty of experienced riders swear by the stock pipe(s).

Thanks Barkhard! I read somewhere (don't remember if it was this thread or another) that the 96 pipe wouldn't fit a 93...which I found strange because I've always thought the 93/96 frame and motor were, for the most part, the same.

Go vapor blasting. From what i understand it doesn't pit the metal and leave holes for dirt to get in. I had a cylinder and head done 2 years ago and it still looks like the day I got it back. He suggested I don't clear it or anything. Hes in NM.

Thanks! I'll see if I can find anyone nearby that does it. I'm trying to avoid having to ship big parts, but I'm in Wyoming and unfortunately there's not much here for these types of projects...

The PC pipe(s) are interchangeable; however, the 93 pipe is more tucked-in and lighter. Go back in this thred and you'll see a comparison on my '95, put this in your browser (or just go to page 20):

Has anyone encountered this problem with mounting of the rear MC/frame guards.

The OEM bolts have a shoulder, but on my frame the bottom hole doesn't have clearance for a shoulder. The WC frame guards also have a machined shoulder.

What's the solution? Drill the frame or grind the shoulder off the frame guard?

Don't mind the spider cracks on the frame from a clear coat touch-up, I plan on painting the frame again when I get motivated.

frame guards should have come with 2 8 mm headed bolts to replace the shouldered master cylinder bolts

Hello. I have a problem with crankcase of my Honda Cr 250 1996 and sell spare but of specific year and is difficult to find in good condition. You mentioned but I need to figure out if they are interchangeable left/right crankcase Cr 250 years from 92 to 01. I can't figure out. Thank you

I got the longer bolts. My problem is there's not enough clearance in the frame for a shoulder, either the OEM bolt or the frame guards.

You need to drill the lower Hole at the Frame to the same diameter like the upper Hole. Looks like your frame has a "modified" lower Hole to accept a different bolt. Then use new Bolts, the OEM Mastercylinder Bolts won´t work with WC Frameguards. Thats all

It looks like youre going to have to drill the frame. I'm not sitting in front of one right now, but if I'm not mistaken the tapered part of the bolt goes into the MC. I don't have the WC guards, but in your picture it looks like the shoulder is designed to replace the bolt so you would just use a regular bolt. The best/only solution I see is just drilling out the frame to match the other hole.

I have read this post 3 times.... Awesome! Great work by all of you!

I have a suggestion on carbon fiber silencers. Col wrapped his with basically a sticker, which is fine for a bike that will never be ridin. How about hydro dipping the parts? It has the durability of paint and it looks just like CF. just a thought. Google it.

keep yalls eyes peeled.... There will be a 95 Honda of Troy, Todd Dehoop replica coming soon...

I've thought about doing this but wasn't sure if it'd hold up to the heat...

Does anybody know where I might be able to pick up a set of the radiator grills for my 93?! Been looking for a while and can't find anything!

I am on the same hunt, so if I happen to find anywhere to get some, I will let you know!
The airbox is a similar search. I am trying to restore the one I have but it is a long and tedious process that I don't know if will yield the results I would like.

I ended up buying 3 air boxes off eBay before I got one I was happy with. Good luck! I haven't been able to find any grills at all. I might have to just build a set of aluminum ones! Which would look pretty cool, but would take away from the replica.

A lot of the factory Honda style ignition covers were made by a Dutch company called TMV. They pop up on ebay from time to time, but the prices can be pretty steep sometimes.

Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you 96 cr 250 experts could give me an idea of the potential value of my bike?
This has been sat in my garage for a couple years since I bought it. Apart from a slight amount of paint rub on the frame (from what can only be a few rides in its lifetime), the rest of the bike is 'out of the crate' immaculate.
It's too good to sit in the garage but I can't bring myself to trash it at the track so it's probs gonna have to go.
Any ideas?

Depends on your location, but in Australia that would probably fetch upwards of $4000

Ok. Thanks. In the UK a used 96 can fetch around £1000+. I'm guessing that to the right buyer/collector this thing could be worth £3.5k plus but who knows? I see there's a guy selling a new 96 cylinder on ebay that wants $1000 (US) for it alone!!!

In my "spare time" (whatever that is) over the last couple weeks I've been building my own frame covers, case guard, and skid plate. I got them finished and all cleaned up today. A few imperfections but overall I'm pretty happy with how they came out.

Anyone know the difference between the 95 and 96 linkage arm? I got a 95 swingarm for my 93 thinkin it would work but the 93 linkage arm doesn't fit the 95 swingarm. All I can find used is a 96 125 linkage arm. The 125 and 250 have the same part number for 95 and the same number for 96, but 95 and 96 are different numbers. Just wondering if that would work. Thanks!

Hi SpK,
I think the linkage arms (125/250) will work fine for 95 and 96 as they both use the same bearing kits so the critical dimensions are the same.
