Adamitis video`s are for free and that`s why they are everywhere.
I`m getting pissed off at how stupid some people are.
"Eric Johnson’s epic Brian Myerscough story from our Racing Paper days, “The Other Side of Midnight,” needs to be retold in its entirety in the magazine someday. Troy Adamitis and crew did some tough documentaries in their Great Outdoors series that told of families like the Grants, torn apart by success and money. And more lately the online Spectrum series has a very provocative episode about SoCal journeyman pro Sean Collier and his struggles growing up, as well as adapting to life after moto."
I didn't like the kid the week before Loretta Lynn's saying "Loretta Lynn's is a joke," since had been there once and got tenth place and decided it was a useless race. Of all the clips to post the week before this year's Loretta Lynn's, I thought it was a cheap shot. But that was it.
And I like Sean Collier, but I could care less about what he says in a video, and we had no problem mentioning it. The kid who hates Loretta Lynn's? He's entitled to his opinion, but I'm entitled not to promote a video about a kid who disses on the biggest race in motocross because he got tenth-place his one time there. But he still came and raced this time and I wish he had done better, because maybe he would not be so bitter. I hoped to meet him there and give him a tour of the place and explain how important it is to a lot of other folks in the sport, but I never ran into him.
I enjoyed the one and a half Spectrum videos I've seen, and we've mentioned them numerous times on Racer X Online, but if someone wants to talk crap on a pretty good race that I am involved in, I am not required to post promos and commercials for it so they make money off of insulting an event we work pretty hard to make happen. That's the only part I disliked, because I obviously have a much different opinion of Loretta Lynn's, as do a lot of other people. I doubt they put a Loretta Lynn's promo or commercial in that video, so why do I have to put a Spectrum commercial up about it?
I have no idea what happened between Sean and Fasthouse and FMF and Kyle Cowlings and any of his other sponsors, nor do I care. I do think his video was pretty deep and sad, and I wasn't expecting the parts about him and his dad because he's never mentioned that to me, and he didn't mention it in the 8-page feature we did on him last year.
Good luck to all involved in these videos, but please quit telling people you've been banned or threatened or blacklisted or anything, because that is simply not true. And please consider coming to Loretta Lynn's next year and maybe talking to some people and their families who actually appreciate the event rather than hate it.

1) Who the hell is Sean Collier?
2) Should I care?

But why did you have to pay for your other kids to watch their brother? We don't charge spectator admission, just vehicles...

And I didn't remember Kyle until someone here reminded me that he inquired about a video job at Racer X, but I had no direct dealings with those conversations. He worked at Transworld at the time but I don't live California and never see him and quite honestly didn't realize who he was or that I knew him. So why would I "ban" him for making a good video about my friend Sean Collier?

It's definitely one of the most amazing races you can participate in. The facility is incredible. The track is awesome. It's the best organized and best run Amateur event in the country.
I have raced them all, Ponca, Vegas, Mino O's, Mammoth, So Cal winter series, Lake Whitney, etc etc etc.
Nothing compares to the overall experience at Loretta Lynns.
If the reason that FMF & Fasthouse dropped him because they got butthurt over his negative statements regarding LL or his experience in amateur racing (things that both companies are invested in), then they look pretty childish doing so. If Sean chose to distance himself from those companies...then I'm sure he has his reasons.
1.
a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
I'm sure they exist in this industry, because they exist everywhere.
I'm not sure they exist in this situation.

Where are you Kyle? Did you make all of it up?
Can I point out two important facts here?
1) Does the video confirm what we all knew about the sport? Yes.............we all see it and it has become worse with time.
2) Have you ever seen any of the major motocross companies, AMA, or any industry big speak out against how the sport is for kids? Has anyone taken action to address the problems?
The fact is this sport is small and controlled by a few. They protect their positions within the sport with non action. They also protect their positions by getting rid of anyone who might be a threat. Sean and Kyle make the video and now they will pay the price. They did what was right but will be treated like a government whistle blower! They should be highlighted in the magazines and talks should start on how to address some issues in the sport!
I recommend all parents buy the video just to learn from them! It sure can't hurt! If your family is everything to you then watch to video and learn from another's mistakes!
Some pretty outlandish claims coming from Sean and Kyle.
As for the videos themselves, I think they are straight forward about what really goes on and unfortunetly the problems are groing. The quote about Loretta's was taken way out of proportion. The Loretta's race was not a target as much as the "Loretta's frame of mind" that all these kids new to the sport dream about. Every local track around the country these days are filled with family's that believe their kid will be the next big thing. Unfortunately almost none of them are having fun. The attitudes of some of these parents I've encountered at the track are horrible. I understand that this is a problem in all sports these days. Granted, none of this is the fault of DC or any other lone eninty. Fortunately for them there business has flourished.
The problem lies in the fact that so many of these up and coming guys that have a little bit of support look to be playing the part of some kind of success story when in fact most are scraping by. The reason this thread has garnished so much attention is the fact that FMF and Fasthouse are two of the names synonymous in the hearts and minds of the "core" of the sport. Collier has gained alot of attention in the last year or so doing all those things against the grain of what "sucess" is measured by. His sponsors have gotten alot of attention by the fact that he is a relatively unknown rider out doing what he loves on an cheaper, outdated bike and showcasing what makes our sport "fun". When rumors fly that someone is trying to pull support from this type of guy, people tend to get a bit fired up about it.
1. Sean and Kyle made a video.
2. Sean posts that because of the video his sponsor list is shorter.
3. Video is blocked from multiple websites and magazines.
4. Someone very close to the sponsors explains why he no longer has their name on the bike. Anyone that saw his IG saw the post. It's up to them to come forward if they do. I know one is a Fasthouse sponsored rider and affiliated with a magazine so that is that.
5. Deletes post and responds to deleting it. It's still there if you don't believe me.
6. All sponsors deny letting him go.
We won't know exactly what happened in their meeting but there is ultimately 2 options.
A. They were so pissed at him that he did the video with out permission and let him go.
B. They're reaction to the video was so bad that it began to push them apart and he said I'm out.
Either way. Before the video it was all good. Now it's not. I commend Sean for taking the high road and not stooping to their level. We haven't and won't hear from Fasthouse officially because they just want this to go away. I know that their sponsored person came here to clear it up but only had a damage control agenda. Called names and made accusations that were only hearsay. I just put out the facts of the matter so people could see the truth.
