So you think he gave back his factory kawasakis and closed down two two motorsports. So he could go down to the local Yamaha shop and buy a bike so he can race out of the back of his truck ?

Was a pick floating around here today with his semi , and with a new Yamaha in the back. I think this is kind of common knowledge right now isn't it?

We'll I doubt he just went down to the local Yamaha shop. He probably asked around for bids to ship him one in a crate.

Just like Tomac already signing with his new team, it is pretty common knowledge that Reed will be riding for the new Yamaha Factory 450 effort that hopes to get Webb and Martin when they move up.

Even if you didn't know anyone deductive reasoning would lead you to the idea that you wouldn't fold an entire team and not keep any of the employees to ride a Yamaha at your house for fun and race out of a pickup.

But the factory Yamaha team in Europe has just received Monster backing for the next two years I believe. So maybe that deal is not as dead as it seemed

I'd bet that Monster & Discount Tire are two sponsors that will be onboard no matter what. They're the big money backers anyway. Where did the TwoTwo tech staff land anyway? I imagine some of those guys are still in a holding pattern waiting to see what Reed does too. I read somewhere here that he paid them all out to the end of their original contract, so they might not be desperate enough to jump ship...and loyal enough to Chad to be willing to hook up with him again. Where's Ozzy? Did he retire after the TwoTwo break up?

Reed has always kept himself out in the open on fun things like this. Trying out different manufacturers bikes, gear, etc. He mentioned he is just keeping things open yet again. However, he has been on this yamaha for a while and he purchased it along with suspension. Seems to me he wanted to get used to it before the deal is finalized and just have a base comfort level.
