Where did all this "Tomacs pace" talk come from? Dungeys met or exceeded Tomacs pace in SX way more often than the other way around.

Dungey has Tomac beat on consistency. He does not have him covered on speed. An injury like this will both hurt and help Dungey and hurt/help Tomac.

1. It's going likely cause Tomac to "slow" it down slightly. He may not be the same rider who is willing to hang it out the same as pre-crash. This helps Dungey because Dungey doesn't have that raw speed.

2. With Tomac slowed a bit Tomac now might be more consistent instead. Maybe don't take that big risk. Settle in for a second and 3rd every now and again. This hurts Dungey because Tomac might show more consistency and less throwing it away.

That's how I see it...
deep insight right there

Dungey's confidence will go back to nothing as soon as the #3 is on the gate. When Dungey starts to get beat again, it will be the same old Dungey, crying about suspension and other guys riding over their heads. This isn't some new found confidence, he was the same in 2010 outdoors when he was a rookie. He looked unbeatable by the end of the year and was full of confidence. Then some other guy who rides over his head and cant stay healthly came back...

Maybe we should re-visit this thread in May 2016............I would be willing to bet that we see Dungey holding a big ol #1 plate. Again.

In MX or SX? I truely think James will have the SX 1 plate after this time off. Older, wiser, and smarter yet will have the same bubba speed.

If your saying MX then yea no doubt. He has this year on lockdown. But those backgrounds in mx wont be red come race #2.

No shit....x2Blink RD gets beat the first few outdoor rounds because it's a brand new bike with no previous outdoor settings to go off of....then you have ET's bike, and there's a bloody encyclopedia of settings etc to go off.

Let's see how ET starts outdoors next year with no previous settings to go from on the new KXF!!!

The Diesel's numbers are sooooo good that I'll bet he's "Uninsureable" in 2016.

Betting against him is A Fool's Errand.

He also might struggle to be really prepared... He's not riding obviously, but hasn't been that long that he was in slings still both sides.

I'm far from a Dunget nut hugger lol, or a KTM one for that matter. But. Both have been brilliant this yr. They're a perfect match.
Bike goes anywhere he wants to put it, so well it looks like he's controlling it telepathically Huh

His early race Intensity is something I used to loathe, now it's like watching a demonstration video on how to race a dirt bike. Something else that's Improved as the season has gone on. He has his shit together Cool .

Riding, bike setup, race strategy, race craft, fitness, mental strength. All the boxes have been ticked.
I feel sorry for him when I see him on the podium because the poor bugger must be running out of things to talk about. Like watching Michel Jackson at the Grammy's when "Thriller" came out Laughing .

Take RD off that bike and you lot might be right about his confidence. Not so likely while he's still on it.
Even K-Rok's bike almost turned completely Green with envy at the last rnd. That KTM is legal cheating .

I guess everyone is forgetting that #41 can run the pace too. Hoping for a healthy season for him.

Praying might help more than hoping Wink . Be nice to see, just sayin.

I'm a K-Rok fan. I get that reality hurts. At this point, it's time to just cowboy up and face it.

STRUTH's post last year...
"When doe's Dung heap contract run out with ktm, the Dung has had a few yearsto get that ktm working and it;s not for him.
DUNG time to move on...it was almost sad watching RD , he would try and push in corners and loose rear traction when coming out of turns,.
RD reminds of reed, when his comfortable on his bike he is a title threat."

Read the last line, I when rd is comfortable on his bike is a title threat, rd was clearly more comfortable on the 2015 ktm, compared to the 2014 ktm.

When is the last time any of the big hitters started and finished a season healthy ?Dungey may not always be the fastest, but he is allways right there. Who has the consistency to beat him?

The problem is this year in perticular he was the fastest. I get a kick out of some people here actually trying to rationalize tomac being the "faster" guy this sx season.

He will also have less time for preparation and he may struggle the first half of the season to find good set ups.

That is a question mark, he should get some wins for sure but to beat Dungey who will score 20 points on average per night is hard to beat.

He pretty much could have cruised to the championship win with the speed he had..

Basically for Dungey to "dominate" it will require injurys to James and Eli period.

For james or eli to win a title it would require that dungey doesn't enter. period . are you on your period ?

My thoughts on SX 2016:

I am not a betting man, but my money would be on Dungey for next year without a doubt. This is the best, happiest and healthiest RD has ever been in his life. He also has Aldon in his corner. He will have just turned 26 yrs old before the A1 gate drop in 2016.

I think ELI will have a rough SX season with only 6 wks on a new bike. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't win a single race, still struggles with starts, and takes soil samples a few times.

Roczen will win races, and will be a serious threat to RD for the title unless he overrides the bike and gets hurt.

James will win races. He may win more than RD, but I do not think he will win the title. Unfortunately I think James will end up taking soil samples more than once, and have at least one DNF. He will be 30 yrs old when the gate drops at A1 in 2016.

Canard will be there and could easily win a race or three, but I would think low odds on winning the title.

Reed could still win a race in 2016 on the right night, but very slim odds on taking the title. (Remember his come from behind win at Anaheim II in 2014?). Reed will turn 34 yrs old half way through the 2016 SX season.

Dungey will podium them to death?

Top of the podium!

2015 SX wins
Dungey - 8
Tomac - 3
Roczen - 2
Canard - 2
Reed - 1
Seely - 1

In other news, the VitalMX communities' collective IQ took as massive hit as new member, "Yamafocker" joined the ranks. His debut post was a stunning combination of misinformation, ignorance, and general douchebaggery.
