Pretty sure GuyB has no control over which ads are shown, because they are based on cookie info from your search history.

In your case, 3D porn.

LOL. There is a mix of stuff that pops up. Some may be related to search history but many things aren't.

Got an ad for blackpeoplemeet.com

Weird

I brought this ad up before, as it seemed particularly out of place with my history.

Turns out it's a nutritional supplement anti-aging ad. Go figure.

I obviously don’t know where you work or what is safe or not for your work but seems like if they’re cool with you cruising Cycle News, Racer X and Vital, they might not think an ad of a girl in a swimsuit is out of line.

With chrome it depends on the settings and other things such as location or like stated, previous search history.

I never got ads for Vans or DC, but I went to their sites the other day to see which riders they sponsored and immediately their ads were showing up when I went back to Vital.

I've got an ad for midget/donkey porn paraphernalia, so it's definitely got something to do with search history.

To expand on this a bit more, EVERY time I go to Home Depot I will get an email of their latest sale items as I pull into the parking lot. Its happened the last four weekends and its really creeping me out. Could be a very weird coincidence or there is a gps tracker that alerts any subscriber to trigger an email. My IT guys say that its not the case and im paranoid ,but......... Anyone else experience anything like that ???

I have no problem seeing ad's/visiting sponsor pages if it helps keep the lights on for Gibby and Co.

It is possible. It's called geo-fencing. Do you have a Home Depot app or any other shopping apps?

I do subscribe to Home Depot and Tractor Supply and several Golf related stores, but Ive looked at their agreements and don't see anything related to the geo-fencing process. I thought that would be something you would specifically have to sign up for. Its just an odd feeling knowing someone is tracking your movements and TELLING you they know,lol...

Sorry for the hijack but couldn't pass up an opportunity to encourage someone else to make awesome decisions. I love driving my truck. Just be ready for people to ask a lot of questions about it. Mines stock except for wheels and a tuner.

Paranoid? I suggest giving your IT guy the stink eye. Clearly, he is a psyop and behind the alerts...
