thats a fair call, Reed pulled out of the series and the last few races were not good results, both Ferris and waters have had some good results in the past few weeks,

He posted on Twitter a few days ago saying he has decided not to do it this year.

Cool to see Wilson get the ride.

He rode really well at Nowra and has improved alot with the help of Josh Coppins.

I'd have probably went with Gibbs or Metcalfe over Ferris and Clout over Wilson, but not a bad team.

I don't think Metty was avaliable.

It must always be a hard choice for the people selecting the team to compare the riders racing overseas to the riders leading our national championship.

Gibbs certainly has been unlucky over the years not get picked, but I think it would be hard to go past Waters and Ferris who are already set up and accustomed to racing the Euro tracks and will be on their current race bikes.

The choice between Clout and Wilson would have been tough as well. Wilson currently has a couple of point lead over Clout in the MX2 class here and there has been nothing between them all year on track.

Solid team and will represent Australia very well.

Maybe they selected Wilson over Clout due to Wilson's european riding style. It may help considering they are riding a GP track.

and having Josh Coppins in your corner would be an asset going to Europe as well,

Funny he always talks as though it is only up to him and if he wants to do it. Like his performances of late don't even matter.

I'm guessing he later got told he wasn't chosen and then plays it off like it was his choice not to go.

I hope he's there to mentor the young'ns. Not that Deano is all peach fuzz these days though.

His results outdoors last year were similar and he went, was still the fastest qualifier and best moto score. It's not like we have an abundance of riders thrashing podiums left and right.

Good team. I was sceptical of Reed being on the team just because he hasn't done very much outdoor riding recently. Although I'm sure he would've done a great job had he been called upon

I think like most years, our team is fine and if everything falls into place then the guys we are sending will perform great.

.Wilson be lucky to finish top 20 in any of the motos.

Wilson will be ok, with Coppins in his corner he should get some good support and great mentoring. Ferris will be the difference between top 5 I think. If he fires we will be top 5, if he doesn't somewhere between there and top 10.

That seems pretty optimistic for first big race like this...

I wasn't saying Wilson 5-10, the team will be 5th to 10th. Wilson doesn't need to beat all the guys on 450's just guys on 250's and we only need one good result from him. I don't think that's overly optimistic at all. I still think Ferris's consistency is a bigger threat than Wilsons performance.

Wilson will be fine. Him and Clout are really the only choices and they have been almost identical this year. And Wilson was our first ever MX world champion after all Cool

Between 5th and 10th would be an awesome team effort, hopefully they can all avoid carnage and put in a couple of good races each.

Given Clout has been a bit hit and miss this year, i believe that Wilson is an excellent choice, especially with Josh Coppins in his corner.

Wilson has more gritt than clouty , they are close in speed but I think Wilson will handle the conditions better ,

Waters on a 450, Gibbs on a 450 and Ferris dropping down to 250 could've been a potentially good idea as Dean was on one not long ago and has the know how. Just my thoughts but not a lot of teams seem to want to opt for the all 450 rider squad Blink

I think that's kind of like a boss firing you, and you telling everyone that you quit! Whistling
