Sorry, I didn't hear the PulpMX show. My apologies.
I just remember seeing awhile back something on one of the websites of a picture of him and his pops and the picture caption was something like 'Ken's dad is back in the program helping him train'.

Yeh, I think his father started working with him again after he left Aldon, but now there is rumor of his father leaving. It might be nothing, or it might be something. Who knows.
If his father is out again that's a MAJOR shake up. Kenny left Aldon in part to bring his dad back around..... so now Kenny has completely cut out/ seperated from everyone that he was affiliated with during his KTM success.

I will never trust 100% on what they say on these reality series but it is kind of funny when he left KTM because of bike issues, yet he won a title on the bike.

Well thats a fact. He said in many interviews that he left KTM because he didn't like the bike. That has nothing to do with reality series.

At the level that the 450 guys are racing at, everything has to be 100% and mix in some luck.

Dungey has put himself in a great position. He put in the work pre season. Aldon has built up his confidence. From fitness and bike setup up to individual moto and season strategy he has things dialed like a formula. As long as they stick to it, the end result is the same.

Kenny on the other hand has changed Teams, Trainers, had injuries, likely receiving a bit of pressure from RCH who is so dependent on him being the #1 guy for sponsor obligations. They sold sponsors on having the champion. RC has been very blunt, on National TV even, about his expectations and frustrations with both Kenny and Broc.

That all being said. This is Kenny's first year on am entirely new team and trainer. He won his first race out. He has put in some solid rides considering the major jump be made. The team knows he will deliver it just takes time to put it all together.

That plus, he has a life outside of moto. Something for everyone to remember. All these riders that you idolize are in fact real people. They have all the same issues you and I have. Only there is a crowd of people seeing them not perform when they have personal issues. It sounds like Ken's world is collapsing a bit at the moment. Have some respect and don't sound he alarms just yet.

In regards to your last paragraph only, teams and sponsors dont give a f*** about him having a life outside of moto. He's being paid a very handsome salary to produce results.

Dad came back immediately after he left KTM. Roger D has never been a fan if mini Dad's turned into pro moto Dad's. Do the math

"kenny is having suspension prolems" the only problem kenny is having is himself. you can over analize the bike till you are blue in the face. how can you get confortable on a setup if you are constenly changing shit. Just like his new trainer/ riding coach said. "stop being a pussy" ride the effing bike and be a fucking champion. i think thats one of the main reason he left aldon. He kept kenny honest and wouldnt put up with his bullshit

I'm sorry Don but I have to disagree with you here, respectfully, because you always post with integrity. Kenny needs someone to hold him accountable and to limit how many excuses he can come up with. The primary job description of any high level coach/ trainer is this: getting people to do what they don't want to do in order to achieve what they want to achieve. And I'm not sure his Dad has the requisite sport science education and experience to get and keep Kenny at the top level. And then you add in the fact that he is his Dad. That is a tough relationship to manage. I found it odd that they would go for a run together because physiology would dictate that for Kenny it would be a pedestrian pace while the Dad would have to be a machine to keep up with him. He ain't getting much out of that run, unless it was a prelude to a much higher level of work, then my mistake.

Having Clint join the team is a quiet way of saying the Dad is a little out of his depth here and they need someone else. Either way it does not look comfortable and I do think that Kenny is floundering some because of it. When RC raced James outdoors that bike was all over the place and he had to ride his bike pinned all the time to beat him. Set up be damned. I don't think there is any set up that would make any bike look good at the pace those two were going.

Same here, I'm going back trying to find as much stuff as I can, I've resorted to watching "Bubba's World" on youtube even... I love Troy's work, but I miss the full length movies "The Great Outdoors" and all, showcasing the whole series and focusing on a bunch of different riders.

So just to clarify. If the bike is fine, are you saying Kenny is lying when he says they are still trying to find the right settings for suspension?
No Kenny is not lying. But EVERY rider out there is working to find better settings. Remember Dungey saying the samething just a few weeks ago???

The Suzuki is more than capable of winning, so was the KTM.

But when you dont gel with the bike, it doesnt matter if its capable or not. He chose the Suzuki over the KTM and the bike is not to blame for his poor performance.

The kid is injured. Plain and simple.

But it also says tensions rise again with his father on the preview of the next episode. I'm loving the behind the scenes look of this series.

Thanks for the compliment! You may me right...For me I'm just not a fan of the rah rah style of motivation. I prefer the this is where we are, this is what we have to work on and this is the plan to get there...regardless it appears that the ship is rather rudderless and they seem to be just throwing mud on the wall to see what sticks!...

I would have to disagree with that statement!

If your team doesnt care about your life outside moto then they dont know what it takes to win. Every aspect of a riders life effects the performance of these top level guys, if a team doesnt care about the riders entire life then they wont win.

Kenny has been critiqued more than any rider making the trip across the pond to race in the US series. If you listen to AC, he says Kenny is physical freak of nature, and we all know he isn't lacking in the confidence part of the game (which I believe is the reason Aldon is so successful, (Keep Calm, and Carry On)). I think it is quite obvious he hasn't been the same since his get off at Oakland. I suspect we will see the same Kenny at A1 2016 as we did at A1 2015.
Only problem I see is, what are we all going to sit around and circle jerk about?? I suspect we will find something...

The mystery of his mid-season outdoor slumps has not been solved.
