I know Noren was filling in for him Thunder Valley - High Point, and it was said that his situation would be evaluated during that time. I'm ready to see him back on the bike and racing! Any news?

I heard red bud, or millville, and millville more likely.

So where are the people with burning torches? RV is a disgrace to American MX for not keeping us updated. Yet I have heard little about updates from TC and all is good.

they are not obligated to let anyone know apart from their employers, in saying that Trey posts often on Instagram, whether he is in a position to say yet when he is back is probably up to him, Honda and the doctors.

The big question should be what is wrong with TC41's bone structure. He has way to many fractures that have had extra long times to recover from. The 2 breaks of his Radius should be a 6-8 ave recovery time even with it being plated.

As for RV, the ave healing time for a broken Coccyx is more in the 4-6 month range.

Who cares if the riders posts a lot or not in social media. It is there life and what they want to share with the world is there choice. Some people want to keep there life private some want to flaunt it. Get over it.

One of the reasons I hung up my helmet racing moto was due to excess travel, people always wanting stick there nose in my business, and the difficulty of maintaining a steady relationship with a woman.

Everyone knows RV is injured. Why do we need a moment by moment breakdown of his injury and prognosis. "Disgrace to American MX?!"

i think he was using "discrace to american Mx" as a referance to people who are all pissy about him not keeping everyone in the loop.

Canard is a great talent but is very unlucky. Some may say you make your own luck and that may be true, but in Trey's case I think he's cursed. Frankly, after watching him get injured time after time and keep coming back even faster makes me worry even more for his health and well being. Watching him race I literally hold my breath when he's feeling it and really pushing, as I don't want to see him hurt again or possibly maimed for life.

Henry had the same kind of bad luck plus never-say-die attitude and his life has/will never be the same. I get the same feeling watching JS, who although still extremely fast seems to have lost that step, that lightening fast reaction time or other factor, but his mind (and right wrist) just won't listen to his body.

I really felt Canard was making a concerted effort to make it though the SX season injury free, even if it meant backing it down. But again, bad luck reared its head and Trey's in catch-up mode again. Maybe he should consider early retirement from racing? He's one of the most articulate (maybe THE most) and genuinely likeable racers in the ranks, has great fans, and could probably be an excellent TV analyst.

X2, I don't know if Canards wrecks have been because he's pushing so hard and refuses to let off, but more of stuff-coming-out-of-nowhere. I have to agree on everything else.

I hear ya but you are comparing it to the average healing time. You have to factor in how much long it takes to regain the well above average strength, speed and stamina that it takes to come back.

As for RV, Aldon said that the bigger issue is the compressed vertebrae that pinched some nerves and is causing numbness. That can take much much longer to heal from.

And you know these guys, they aren't like us where they will get back into it as soon as they can just for the fun of it. They know that if they come back too early and aren't running up front, the negative comments start coming and they can't afford that. They have to be certain they are ready to come back.

This makes me wonder how long Honda is going to keep him around. I'm having a hard time remembering a season where he wasn't hurt.

Trey Canard is a PR dream. His always-positive attitude and professionalism is hard not to like...and that makes Team Honda look good. The fact that he has a huge fan base, and makes Honda look good outshines his spending a lot of time down with injuries. Hard to get a rider with the qualities TC possesses...along with him being an absolute beast on the track as a combo these days. I see him being on Team Honda for a couple more years.

Yeah, but being a PR dream doesn't win championships if you're sitting on the couch injured while everyone else is out racing. TP199 prime example.

Honda obviously don't care about championships maybe their bikes sell regardless. How many big names have they let go ? MC,RC,ET if they where that worried about it they would make damn sure no big name rider would ever even consider another teams offer.

Just seems wasteful to have a big money rider around who is constantly injury prone. Yeah, they have a fill-in rider but they don't seem to be getting their moneys worth unless Trey's contract is heavily incentive based. I'm not downing Trey as a rider at all, when he's on, he's a threat for a win every time. But, if you're not racing, you're surely not winning. Everyone downs Dungey because "Oh he just wins because everyone else is out." Well, Dungey's out there, and he's collecting the wins and championships. Sponsors don't want to see their logos on bikes that are parked in the pits, and they're not paying big money to have a fill in rider hovering outside the top 10. Better than parked, but you get my drift. My $0.02

It's interesting. I talked to a rep from Honda just before Hangtown and I mentioned that the current group of riders was the best that I could ever recall (on 450's) between Cole/Trey/Eli. I mentioned how much Eli was going to blow up in the outdoors this year (I thought). This person said, yes but Trey was just as good and loved having him on the Honda team (which I took as a clear sign Eli wouldn't be on a Honda much longer). Point being though, this person just raved on and on about Trey, and he was still hurt. I love Trey too and hope he gets healthy and can win a big bike championship. He has the speed, just needs consistency.
