It would be heaven if there would be brand new 125cc from Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki Woohoo I really do not get the argument of MXsport that there is no "demand" / riders for such a series. That's bullcrap! Just look at EMX 125

And at the moment you have three manufacturers who deliver top material: Yamaha, KTM and Husqvarna so it wouldn't be a KTM-class anyway
MXSports has no objection to a EMX125 style class, it's not going to fit into the "Live" one day program on National Day...
It wouldn't be on TV if it was... 4 hours are hard to get the networks to put on now...

Honda has stated it is finished with the 2 stroke engine. Honda would need their own class here also...

Kawaski is alive & well in the 2 stroke mini's. Suzuki can't even field a 250F team. Like Newman said" The homogenization
rule could be temporarily lifted"...

Well bad luck for Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki then ... And can't the guys ride after the second 450 motos (and first race somewhere between practice and race)? It would therefore spread out the audience who are leaving the event (and therefore less traffic)?

That kid is one aggressive little shit!

Great riding and an awesome video. There were a couple times in that video that showed him getting a little too aggressive I think. It worked for him , but I don't think it made those other dudes to happy. Kid was flat out rippin' though.
You don't need a big bike to have a big battle!

I noticed the same thing about his aggression. Riding a 125 is all about momentum. Sometimes that means carrying yours, other times that means taking it away from someone else. I think there were a handful of pass attempts where he blocked the other guys momentum and didn't have enough of his own to make the pass stick. No doubt a little more experience will teach him to wait until he can make the pass stick.

I'm a bit biased since I race a 125 most of the time.

I think having a 125 class back at the pro level would trickle down to more interest at the local level.

The kids who would benefit are the mid-pack kids currently in the 250 class. The naturally talented kids and kids with good riding coaches are going to go fast on any bike. The average kids will learn so much more about momentum and corner speed on the 125 automatically by riding one for a few years. You either learn to carry speed or you get smoked.

Sounds fine to me... I would be more likely to "go watch a national live", maybe a few thousand more would be too, who are
"fed up" with the factories telling us what we want... Get Davey to set up a online PPV so we can watch it just like the GP's...

Epic watch !! Thanks for posting. Liking the look of the new '16 KTM 125's as well. One of those would sit in the garage very nicely !!

I think it is safe to say that the 450 class has outgrown the 250 class and the 250 class has outgrown the 125 class. So, why exactly do we not have this most awesome national level of racing on the big stage here in the states? Are we still going on the excuse that it wouldn't be fair to Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki? Are we still going with the homo rule that could easily be waived for a couple of years? Just a crying damn shame that the US is behind the curve here.
I predict one day newmann, you will have a 125 class at the Nationals again. It has to happen. The 2 stroke momentum has started. Just hang in there mate.

The EMX125 class has been awesome this year. I suggest everyone YouTube all the races.

Natske for the title. (he is the next Townley)

That video reminded me why I stepped away from racing in my early 20's, until I could enter the +30 class. As you get older you can't racw that aggressively anymore, which is a bummer but that's the price of being an adult with responsibilities.

I sure love watching others do it though, that was great!

I agree that the 450sand 250s have outgrown the classes that they were built for. What we have now is pretty much the same as what the 80s/90s would have been like with no 125 class. There's no denying it and it is a big hole that needs to be filled. Look at how close the racing is where 2&4stroke 250's are allowed to race against each other. They turn faster lap times than the 450s on some tracks. Deja vu. Except the 125 class vanished while we weren't paying attention.

I wonder how long until the E is dropped from EMX125 and it becomes a real MXGP championshipclass again? MX3 is dead and it would fit in perfectly.

The sport needs it. The times they are a changing.

Man he rode well.
Can't believe he is only 14. Showed a lot of race craft in that moto.
Those 2 passes he sent up after the Finish line were sweet.

Yep! We need a Euro promoter to negotiate a round of this in the US, or negotiate with the AMA to get this going. The US promoter (MX Sports) is simply scared to death to do anything that will make the OEMs mad and would never allow this sort of thing to go on, TV or not. I hate to say it, but thank God for the Euros on this one.

We all know it will never happen though. MXSports and AMAMX would either sue the Euro promoter, or close up shop before they allowed something like this.
