I've enjoyed some pretty incredible relationships with all sorts of people who love bikes and am very grateful for that. There have been some characters for sure, but by and large good people (by that I mean transparent and authentic, not "guys who agree with me") with very few exceptions.

I thought Shyla out-nutsoed the Princess.

I said scariest, not most entertaining. And, no, DB as crazy as she was, not close.

I guess MXP was more a Mototalk psycho? I never really knew much about her other than wasn't she banging some pro-rider while married?............................I guess you gotta be at least a little crazy to be a chick on these boards............or a guy for that matter..........

Motonews RIP TFS was where it all started for me. I got kicked off that board, and migrated to Motodrive, in 2003 I think.

Here's what I learned from that damn Blue Kool Aid seller...

Most people like to participate in a forum, throw out personal opinion, and have no one question what they say..

Dave does his homework, and will question me, you, Gibby, Huck or anyone else he feels might be off base. Nobody's off limits.

If you're going to troll, post unfounded opinion or just plain BS, don't get uptite when someone calls you out..

I miss the "Natalie and her big fake cans" Dave. I like Dave a lot. Like Cox, who I also like and respect a lot, he can forget to let you come up for air every once and awhile when he's in a mood for dunking.

Look, we're all off a little now and then, being not your best on your not best day and then something comes up. Some of us are prone to that more often than others, and others are simply stuck in a place they end up digging deeper holes for trying to get out by being cool or knowledgeable.

I felt badly for Shyla, but she brought it on herself with the mugs and the stickers and the thinking she was some personality because she paid $30 and could make noise on MT. When she got some flack she went off on Bruhn for not protecting her and decided to come to MD. I recall PM'ing her that if she got her nickers in a bunch over the criticism at MT then she might not like MD, which then still had a lot of the FD vibe from the era when Mototalk was Bushwood and Bruhn would razz people about cutting them off. And sure enough she hadn't been here for a couple weeks when Pixie (Mutt's then wide now ex and a woman who could hold her own) put up the goggle eyes picture and the lid boiled off. That had to be the meltdown for all ages. But I think she was basically a good person. I don't know the DB story as I stayed away from that, other than my recollection was that it was something that comes up from time to time where someone reps themselves a certain way, makes promises and then leaves people hanging in a bad way. The Princess thing was different in a bad way for her and people close to her from what I saw and my gut when I met her, her husband and her son at D&B's one A1. I thought I heard here that things had gotten realigned in a good way, and here's hoping for that.

That's three very different kinds of crazy, just like Dave's crazy and my crazy are different. Craziness, IMO, is less either or and more spectral, and we all oscillate on the spectrum, some more than others. There can be a decent person or a bad person behind that, but its the person's character not their craziness that determines that IMO.

And where is that "blue cool aid" selling guy that could dominate every thread? And the rest of the FL clan that liked to sling the $hit?

I always felt bad for Sondra too. Some of those guys jumped on her and wouldn't let her up for air. I mean, everybody got a heap of shit, but it seems like she got more than most...and still does/did.

Lot's of characters through the times here...and like you said, we're all just a little crazy in our own, crazy kind of way!

I didn't post much, more of a lurker but have been visiting these boards for a long time...Wonder what happened to:
Was it Tommy, the young kid that a bunch of the regulars took under their wing to show him the ropes, thought he wanted to be a fire fighter. If only DDavis would've been humble like this kid he wouldn't have been ran off...
XMikeX, always wanted to argue, probably what Cox was like when he was younger, did he grow up, is he still straight edge?
On fresh dirt there was Lone Wolff, he was strange and didn't last long....
As mentioned RM250Guy and Rich...what ever came of the law suit, did Rich make out and is sitting on a beach?
Red Rider didn't he want to beat up a bunch of people?
Would be cool to find archives of all the old post, I know I posted when my dad passed away and a lot of people made nice comments, wish I would've kept that.
