Kids - "scrubbing" a hip jump is child's play and not that impressive. Try scrubbing a jump at full speed in a straight line.

Those small scrubs aren't really that impressive. You can pretty much just lay the bike over before hitting the peak without worry(especially on sand)

Do you notice watching Dungey in Sx, his big scrubs don't look as good or as low as others, but he routinely stays lower than everyone... It's like his normal "scrub" the sliding bum-whip thing he does is 10% lower than everyone else's normal small stat but his maximum scrub isn't quite as far.

I've noticed that too. His version of scrubbing height off a jump is very unique to him. I think what he does is he absorbs an abnormal amount of rebound with his legs, more than any other rider. Instead of throwing the bike sideways, he moves his butt to the side of the bike and allows the bike to spring up below him. The picture above is somewhat accurate of his style but the bike usually stays more upright. It's like they say, you control the bike with your lower body to conserve energy but Dungey takes that to the extreme. Plus this allows the bike to stay more straight with the traveling path which seems to make the "scrub" more predictable.

Yeah, but how about MC using the heal of his boot to catch the sidepanel and "scrub"... MC was farther ahead of his time in pure techniques and skill than anyone, IMO
