Not sure on full results but top 3 was Sean Collier, Ryan Surratt, and Jon Ames.

I guess Tucker Saye was running it and ate shit hard on the triple. From what he said he overshot the hell out of it.

Only 3 minutes worth of video... and even that is ruined by rap music layed on top of the riding.

Haven't even seen a single picture yet. Seriously all those photographers and websites there and not a single picture taken of this race or the bikes

Are the results posted anywhere yet? Interested in seeing how Haakar (sp?) did.

Are there any lap times for the 2 smoke race? I see Collier entered the national too. I know there are many more variables, but I'm curious what the lap times look like between the five-hunnit and 450.

Yes that was Brownie. I spoke to him briefly after the race and he said he blew out 4-5 spokes over jumping the triple about mid race.

I didn't know that was Tucker, but a Suzuki was laid out after the triple on the 3rd lap of practice when I was going to huck it and hope for the best. They threw red cross flags for the rest of practice and I never got a chance to try it. I was afraid of over jumping it as well after I saw Tapia eat shit in the 250 practice over jumping. I made the decision since I didn't get a chance in practice I wasn't going for it in the race and just stayed low. The 2 stroke practice was a yard sale...

There were no transponders for lap times, in fact, they didn't even give us any pit passes so I never saw a line up sheet or results sheet. I just rode out of the camping area when it was time and they let me through the pit gate.

Collier's KX 5 is hands down the sickest bike ever. Real man rig.

Putting all the pieces together... I think it was Tucker who was driving the One Industries bus. Someone told me the driver broke both ankles, and they were having trouble moving it after the race.

Good job Slip!

Why did they even bother having and promoting a 2stroke race? Sounds like you all went to a lot of trouble to put on a good race for them and in return got treated like 2nd class citizens. I'd be pissed.

Being that we (the 2-strokes) were the sideshow and it had nothing to do with MX Sports/AMA, I wasn't expecting VIP treatment. I can only assume that the tragic murder of Lori's son 3 weeks ago threw a wrench into the program as she was the one organizing the 2-stroke race. I didn't even move my van/trailer from the camping spot on the hill because the girls at the gate told me it would be better than the secondary pits they were putting the 2-stroke guys in.

I appreciate the fact that they even put on the race and since I was just filler for the class, I didn't take it too serious. Maybe if I had trained for 3 months instead of 3 weeks, but it was still just 6 laps of practice and a 25 minute race.

I also need to say a huge thank you to Dwayne (MXerDW) for sponsoring me with a camping spot and fixing my flat tire after I pinched a tube rushing to get out of Sacramento on Friday morning. Without his help I'd have been camping in a truck stop and wedged into the 2-stroke pits like a Sardine. Even if he sent me out with 30psi in my rear tire... Wink

No doubt, what's the odds of taking photos of a pro MX race and ending up with with a shot that has a guy with a blow up doll in the background?

30psi guarantees no more pinch flats!

I obviously wasn't there, but it just sounded to me like they used the 2stroke race to build hype for the event but didn't put any effort into legitimizing it, like using transponders or even posting results. I'd have felt a bit slighted, I know how much effort it takes for all of you guys to get prepared for a race like this.

I hadn't heard about Lori's situation, that is awful..

Sorry, not trying to sway your thoughts/feelings on it, but capping those things off with being turned away for a pit pass would have gotten under my skin.

Glad that the race was a success though, you rode great and gave all of us forum jockeys something extra to get excited about! Hopefully the right people are taking notice about the 2-stroke draw. Everyone who lined up for it gets my respect , admiration and a big Thank You!
