My opinion is , the guy has some really cool gear for sale and I think it's cool he's posting them for sale here , before they hit fleabay. Gives the guys here at Vital first shot........what's not to like about that?

Amazes me someone takes the time to ype up and complain about a thread , when in reality all they did was contribute to said thread by posting in it ! Sheeesh!

This thread should be here and it's 100% moto. A lot of guys collect this stuff.

Agreed!

I will say if you got it for free from a rider it's a "little" uncool to sell it, but not that big a deal. If you paid for it and need the money, by all means sell it, it will make someone else very happy.

Memorabilia is sold in just about every sport - baseball, basketball, football, soccer, jerseys all sell for money. Why not MX jerseys?

Everyone wants to complain that MX isn't mainstream, but as soon as a mainstream situation is happening (someone selling a jersey from a top pro) everyone wants to cry and say how it's ruining the sport?

How? Guy sells jersey, someone else gets it. Win win. Then guy buys stuff, maybe even more MX prodicts, pumping money back into the MX system. or he has more money to ride a few extra times that year, giving some money to his local track, and bike shop by buying oil. That's a win win win.

Don't like it, don't buy it, simple as that.


Oh, I have a pair of Villopoto's pants from 2006 when he won the High Point national in the 250 class. The size of the pants show "28/30" inside - how cool is that? Us mere mortals don't get to pick different waist/ length ratios.

So both JS7 jerseys are gone, as well as the Blue/white Dungey jersey.

Still have Blue/orange Dungey gear and the Suzuki Dungey gear, as well as Canard jersey, JT$ jersey, and all of Reed gear. I'd be willing to cut someone a good deal if they wanted that Reed autographed shift jersey along with the his autographed Suzuki gear ( I'd probably take 800 OBO for all of it today if someone was tempted). That Suzuki gear of his is ridiculously awesome, extremely rare , and is very hard to part with.

I realize I was asking a bit much for the Reed Suzuki gear, mainly because i hold that gear in high regard and it actually is quite rare (like I said before I have only ever seen another Reed Suzuki jersey once and it wasn't for sale.) Anyways, I'm not trying to rip anyone off believe me, (if I was trying to rip someone off this is the last place I would come to), I am just a little attached to that certain gear and feel like it it is worth a little more than your ordinary stuff. Like I said earlier, I'd be willing to bargain with someone if they made me a decent offer. Thanks
