Which means he did not place "within seconds of the first place finisher in the last few races", Correct?

we both know that, this casual observer seems to be a little out of touch with the situation.

Bad weekend but luckly nothing too serious after this crash....small fracture on my left hand! 10days of rest!

Update from Jill's Facebook. Doesn't sound too serious, but have to respect how he gutted out a 7th place in moto 2 with a fracture!

within seconds of first place but yet nothing more as a 4th place ?? sounds better as it really was he , he could never challenge for the win except in Thailand the first moto ..... Who you think would beat Cairoli in US nationals him not getting a top 5 ?? im pretty sure he would get a top 5 finish ...Tomac would be his top contender outdoors , maybe Roczen and Dungey but thats it

I will officially stop predicting results. I suck really bad at it. I thought GP21 would have a really bad weekend too.

I think this GP will play out pretty much like the others so far in MXGP.

MX2
1) Herlings
2) Jonass
3)Tixier
4)Ferrandis
5)Bogers

MXGP
1)Cairoli (tied on points with Nagl
2)Nagl
3)Villopoto
4)Desalle
5)Febvre

Wildcard Coldenhoff and De Dycker

I wish I could put Van Horebeek in there somewhere, but this just isn't his year. The same goes for De Dycker, but time is running out for him.

It's a different world coming and going from US to Europe and vice versa... says all the riders that have done it.

thats true , but Cairoli is used to adapt to different circuits like we have at MXGP. Some off the tracks arent that different from youre US tracks .... as results in MXON stated he won all his motos last years beating all US riders , so dont see any reason why he wouldnt make top 5 like RV does over here ...... its not like the tracks in the USA are more difficult as in MXGP.
There must be a reason why he is a 8 time worldchampion dont you think?

I think the biggest change for Cairoli would be swapping to a 450, which I think he would have to do inorder to be properly competitive in the States.

i agree , on the faster style US tracks he would need a 450 but the difference these days between the 2 isnt that much in HP and weight ....

Why are people so upset at the Source? We all have different opinions? All it took was one cairoli crash to make some individuals go all patriotic from both sides to argue about AMA VS GP`s again I love it. No wonder why the people in the industry laugh at vital forum etc. I hope cairoli is back soon, it sucks to see the two major champions go out injured already. Maybe RV got a slight chance after all.

I think he did plenty well on that 350 over here to ? But yeah the 450 would be a better option.

Anyone knows why Frossard didn't start in the second moto?
Also if Guarneri is injured very bad? Was riding pretty good until he crashed out.

Guarneri was banned form racing second moto because he had a concussion and temporarily lost consciousness when he crashed in first moto. He was doing good!

During commentary Malin mentioned Frossard was suffering with a damaged/sprained thumb.

On the pace with them aside from Nagl, the guy coasted the last lap dropping about 10 seconds, fair play,no one was getting near him

(Popping up with lucky top 5 is just trollingTongue )

Hope those guys shows up to Glen Helen to prove it. Doesn't get anymore fair than that, GP format on an american track. Well sure yoy could argue that guys like Nagl, Desalle and Cairoli doesn't need to beat them to win the title

I think anyone racing the Des Nations that races the AMA series should race the Glen Helen GP. It hurts the AMA riders to have such a long lay off. It would be great to stay in race shape and get used to the format on a track they're familiar with. I'd love to see a lot of top guys there, but at the very least I hope we see all AMA Des Nations participants there.

prove what? They dont prove anything unless they race a full series over here just like musquin, roczen, teh same goes for RV. They would probably b e good enough to land podiums not denying that but this argument is beoynd pathetic atm.
