Race is this weekend at Glen Helen...

There is a pretty decent size purse for the 250 class ($7,500). Any ideas of who might show up?

Doug Dubach for sure. I bet a lot of the fast REM guys will be there - Justin Jones, probably. Maybe some local hotshoes like Mike Sleeter. It would be cool to see a national pro show up on a one-off. I did see one of the TLD guys had an SX150 made just recently - that's kind of suspicious!

James Bubba Stewart. How fuckin awesome would that be?

On a 125, racing 125, 250 and 500 class on it..........and leading by 45 seconds.

The depth of talent and crowd size is a direct indication of the relevance of 2-strokes in todays moto society. Seeing this from websites last year also makes it a bit of a farce calling it a world championship.
How many Vital members are going to this event?
Would i go? Hell yeh!
Why would i go? Because I'm a fan of MOTO not 2-strokes not 4-strokes but MOTO as a whole.

It's piggybacked onto a Loretta's Area Qualifier.

Awesome.. I heard Killy Rusk is riding a YZ 350 as well.

I'm going to let Champion ride my bike (KTM 250sx). Should be a fun and competitive event!!

I would go.
I would rather watch the 85 and Supermini 2 strokes than Pros at Anaheim 1.

Just the sound of a gate of 2 strokes starting up is just more adrenaline pumping.

I think the reason this event isnt bigger is because most ex pros are broke and cant buy another bike.

Or they ride what they can get for free from someone. Lets be honest, most old pros are just working stiffs nowadays extending out what little money they stashed away.

Hey Guy,

I am not sure if you were at the race, but not only did he show up, he was absolutely flying on that beast! Extremely smooth, killer lines and AMAZING speed on the up-hills. The rear shock bolt fell out in the first moto and he DNF'd while leading but it was a sight to behold watching him kill it for the win in moto 2.

Similar to TP199 at the straight rhythm, I thought he stole the show on the green monster.

My son raced in the Pro class too with these heavy hitters and got a 5th in the first race and wound up 7th overall on a 34 man gate!! Yup I have to say I was one proud mamma of that kid!!! #79 Griffin Dexter. Weekend warrior is what he calls himself! Brought home some of that purse too. They were paying out up to 10th place. Great day of racing that's for sure!!

I remember watching him (I am a Honda fan so I was noticing the CR250's more than others)

He rode really well, the top 6-8 guys were running a really high pace for sure! Nice work.

Really wish this was filmed, would LOVE to watch.

That KX 500 is awesome. Show up to the race with a KX 500 and the number 1 with fasthouse backing you, tough to beat!

Thanks Chadillac661 for the compliment. He's been riding since he was 6 and he's 19 now. Just wish he had time to practice more, but he's in college and works 2 jobs. He loves riding but it's not going to pay the bills, as you all know. Living the dream though if you ask me, going to school, working and riding. Perfect !

I always thought it would be a cool two stroke event if it was off season with a big Pro purse payout just to see some bigger names show up. Think Monster Energy Cup but outdoors with smokers. Its a pipe dream I know but hey we can dream haha

Cool to see Sean ripping it up on the ole KX500. The shot of him blasting the camera with roost was sick.

I can tell you that there are a lot of riders that WISH they could ride that fast on a very limited practice schedule (me being one of them) He was definitely right in the mix last weekend.
