Just thought you chauvinist pigs should know this. She was quicker than 7 of the 450 riders and 5 of the 250's. She is doing very well

I guess it depends on your definition of very well. Once she makes a night show we can talk. Until then she's just another rider with a dream.

She should try and qualify for the premier class, the 250 class is definitely more aggressive, and you can't get away with qualifying based simply by jumping everything clean, whereas on a 450 it seems like you can.

I believe that was the case last week as well.

You have to make at least one 250 night show before you can go for the 450s, although I believe they have made exceptions in the past.

You can ride a 250f in the 450 class in SX correct? Because I doubt she'd have that time riding a 450. Maybe she should give it a shot.

I think it's impressive as hell. I doubt she'll ever make a main, but to see her in a heat race and LCQ would still be cool.

Not that I don't understand what you are trying to say here or anything but you do make it sound like making the night show at an AMA SX event is no big deal. If she would make that happen she would indeed have achieved more than most riders can ever hope to achieve. Or are we forgetting the otherwise rarely disputed fact that pretty much everyone who lines up at the gate in the night show is a bad-ass rider who would bring shame to most-almost-all people here at any other event?

I have huge respect for every rider who makes the night show (and quite a few who don't), even if they are last in the LCQ. For this very reason I simply cannot not respect Vicky Golden.

she would knocked David Pulley out of the field in the 450's

she is only 10 sec. a lap slower then moose, the shorter the lap times @ an venue, the better chance she has

Were all cheering for her. Come on. Only a cad would not cheer for her, but doing well? Yeah no.

She is riding the toughest tracks in the world and today had a pace quick enough to be in the 450 field. She had a faster time than 12 guys. Guys that are professional racers. I would classify that as doing well

That's actually my bad. I meant to say night show, not the main because I highly doubt she will ever make one. Sure you can say that she beat 12 other guys, but no one is talking about them. What about the guys in front of her who didn't make the night show? Let's not kid ourselves here, she's mediocre at best on an SX track.

She was fast enough last week too. Or the week before....slept since then. Funny and sad all at the same time considering all the 450 chest thumpers that post on Vital.

Which also means that 99.9% of all the 450 chest thumpers in the US are less than mediocre at best on an SX track too. A girl on a 250F kicking all their asses. Seems like a lot of Vitards could be making the night show Skippie, why don't you give it shot. I'll pay an entry fee for anyone here who thinks they can beat her.Smile

99.9% of guys who ride 450s aren't professional riders either so I don't know what you are trying to say. But for the guys not making night shows on a regular basis then yes I would say they are mediocre as well. I wouldn't say she kicked their ass, she was slightly faster then some other guys who didn't make the night show along with her. I sure as hell couldn't beat her, but I'm also not a professional who rides for a living so I don't get your argument. Why do we have to be as fast as her to have an opinion on her? When she actually makes a night show then I'll give her props, but until that point my opinion stands.

Your negativity towards her in every thread about her is getting old, real old.

"She wasn't even close" Well the thread is about her making the night show for 450s, and in this case she would have made it. She has come pretty damn close in 250s and deserves a lot of respect. Getting tired of the hate towards her.

She cannot run the 450 class, you have to earn a point or something in the 250 class first.

She also has to ride through, over and around a thousand guys that believe she is wrong for even trying.

You do know women are allowed to vote now?
