Track looks incredible! Definately going to be some good racing!!
3/26/2015 2:47am
really excited for this race- first proper track of the championship by the looks of it. I think mx1 will be even more competitive than previous rounds- bobbryshev, simpson and febvre all looked very good in training this week. If its a deep, rough sand track then Nathan Watson will be top 10 if he can get a start

predicitons? REALLY difficult one this week. I think cairoli and paulin are both due a good weekend after under performing so far:-

mx1

- Cairoli
- Paulin
-RV
- Nagl
- Desalle

(leaving a lot of possible top 5 riders out there!!)

mx2:-

- Herlings
- Lieber
- Tixier
- Ferrandis
- Anstie

Tixier isn't riding in Argentina because he hit a doctor in Thailand.

He'll be replace by David Herbreteau.

Frossard definetively out? I've read he injured himself a bit in the Maxxis rounds, but is it that serious?

Don't forget about Gajser in MX2 people, he's got something to prove after his sitout in Thailand!

Thought searle was back this week? Still alot of potential front runners even with those riders out. Got to feel for searle and strijbos it looked promising for them coming into this season

They said Searle would be out for around nine weeks and probably wont be back until Matterly Basin.

Not 100% about Frossard, he went back to France for a scan on his hand and to be fair I haven't heard that he is out. It was more of an assumption.

What happened to Strijbos? Bummer if the field gets thinner ! But in the end do i think RV, A.C , Desalle, Paulin, some Nagl, some Horeebek, will be the top dogs but still , strijbos and lets say de dycker on a good day is always a potential threat for the podium.

Strijbos has tendonitis on his wrist since the beginning of the season, so he couldn't practice with his bike. He tried to race with injections and painkillers, but it got worse and worse. Best option was an operation. Maybe he misses Italy too, he doesn't want to come back too early as his run for the championship is over anyway.

that sandy triple WOW that looks a bit gnarly !

theres some bloody fast looking sweepers on that track, I hope it is as deep and soft as the pics make it look - lets get some real racing please Patagonia Smile

And this was the result. Gutted for him as he rode so well at the pre-season races, I assumed he was going to get off to a strong start in Qatar.

MXGP:
AC 3-1
RV 1-4
JVH 5-3
CD 2-2
GP 4-5

So hard to pick riders from this stacked field Woohoo
Don't know if someone has notiticed it but I think getting a great start is key Whistling Whistling With a good start any of the above riders can win IMO. Hoping CD25 takes the red plate to Valkenswaard... and beyond

MX2:
JH 1-1
DF 2-4
TG 4-2
JL 3-3

Would like to see a close battle for second Grinning

I think Nagl or Cairoli will win. They are both great starters and good/great sandriders. After them CD25, GP21 and of course RV2.

MX2 Herlings all the way. Maybe followed by Gajser and Jonass.

I could be completely wrong but to me it seems as if the soil at least has some base to it so if I had to guess I would say that it won't be as rough as Lommel or any other real deep sand track. I dunno though, when looking at a completely groomed track it's hard to tell. Usually a deep sand track like Lommel or Leirop will look like glass before they are ridden on but this track seems to have a little bit harder composition. Either way, here's hoping for a good race.

I'm thinking it will develop a lot like Qatar or Uddevalla does. Rough, square edged and slick, we'll see

I agree, in the areas they have made cuts or left the existing grade this will be the case. In the areas they have built jumps and made, fills, the track will get rough. Looks like they are working hard to make it as good as possible. Sunday morning at 09:00 we’ll be tuned in. Go get some points back RV!

I respectfully disagree. That's wishful thinking. I know you love Desalle because you're French. Lol, Joking but not really.
