I know ohlins isnt the answer for everyone, but have u guys that are having suspension problems, have yas considered KREFT? Everything I read about him on ktmtalk is nothing but positive, I totally understand where u guys are coming from I couldnt stand the wp stuff,I had many revalves on the wp stuff that ended with nothing but frustrations, thats why I went with the ohlins set up, but imo, its by far the BEST $$$ ive ever spent on a mx bike!

I have, and I didn't really notice much of a difference. I was expecting more, but I think keeping it at the I setting instead of the II, works better overall.

Update:

I got my Race Tech Gold Valve suspension back and was pretty impressed. My forks are a lot smoother and less harsh that's for sure! I will be playing around with sag settings, as I was searching for front end traction throughout the day, but that could have been because I just installed a new bib up front. The shock worked much better too. I'll get a better report this weekend as it's our first race of the year.

Also this was my first ride on the new seat cover too. Much improved traction over the stock seat. I like the underpleat design that TractionMX offers. Worth the money for sure!
Mr. Fish,

I have no idea how you are able to ride that thing with the stock pipe and shorty silencer...That's the way I ran mine for a couple rides...Hit so hard and such a narrow power band I wadded myself twice.

Per Digger's rec, Im going to order up a PC system, 14T front sprocket, and play with the PV springs.

Use caution when playing with the springs. My bike with the red spring/screw flush is only good for tracks that look like the background in Mr. Fishes pic.

I use the yellow spring and have the screw backed out to flush. I don't even want to consider using the red spring.

Had a good break in ride. Motors surprisingly torquey. My wife laid her drz125 down a couple times and off into the sagebrush once, but laughing and smiling the whole time. Great day.

Quick question. How far back are you guys running your rear axles? I think I read the KTm/huskys are already a little longer than a yz250. One more question, which setting is mild on the ignition map switch 1 or 2? I cant seem to tell any difference...

RKT, yes its a SFF A-kit, maybe it's placebo, but I am a huge fan of a-kit suspension. Last weekend was my first ride in a long time. I can't be sure why, but I spent a lot of time staring at my front fender and not the next obstacle...

Thanks for the comment. It really is a great bike.

Tuck, the shock was originally set up for a 2013 450sxf. Not sure of the exact length, but it was re-valved, sprung, and lowered for me by RG3.

Okay I finally got around to changing the main. I'm really happy I did. I changed it to a 170 and was extremely happy with it.

This bike flat rips!

We had our first Hare Scramble of the year and I was able to pull off the A class win and 10th overall. I did destroy a set of brand new rear brake pads, and by destroy I mean all the way down to the metal and then a little bit more. I probably ruined the rotor as well. I also shredded both tires. I was running an AT-81 and the braking edge of the tire is just gone, it's so chewed up. The rear tire is also gone. Although I'm not surprised as it's a MX-32 and the dirt was everything but loam and mud.

Looks like I'll be buying some tires with my contingency money.

Just wanna thank Swedish and Tuck. I rode today for the first time since asking for advice and the bike is a ton better. It corners well with no headshake in the straights and the power is much easier to manage with the green spring. I had great time now that I can enjoy it without being scared of the chassis doing something bizarre or the motor going off like a cannon mid corner. Thumbs Up Guys!

Reded glad I could help. I run the red spring two turns from flush and my pulls from the bottom to the top.

Hi guys! I want to purchase a 2015 TC250..it looks bad ass! However, because the dealer is 8 hours away and because I already have a 2015 Husqvarna FE501s, which looks similar to the TC250 color schemewise, I am willing to get a 2015 KTM 250SX.

Now, the issue I have with the 250SX is that I cant get past the curvature in the rear fender! Is there an aftermarket fender that looks like the TC's?

I've been reasearching for a while but cant really tell if what I am seeing is curved or straight from the angle the pictures were taken.

@Gameover, not sure about the fender, sorry.

I do have another question though re: venting the airbox. There's a couple mounting brackets that look like they are for a battery & something else, I assume I can take those out with no problems. I've also found a few spots that I think I can drill through no problem. The question I have is how big to make the holes? 1/2"? Also, how much (if any) can be taken from the actual subframe structure? I'm hesitant to take any material from there.

Does anyone have a link to a video or pics of how to do this? I took a bunch of pics to post my thoughts, but they didn't work very well.

The airbox does not need to be vented. MXA was just looking for something to say. Seriously.
